EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
it is a Clone of the submachine gun used by the SLOVAKIAN Military & Police. It is sold in the USA in Semi-Auto mode - with an extendable TAIL HOOK BRACE added (which can be shouldered) & can get one out of registering it as a SBR. Looks to me like an IDEAL HOUSE GUN with 30 round magazines - pin point accuracy (braced) - 9mm so won't penetrate neighbors homes. Some very entertaining You Tube videos of it.

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
LOL, If you can't hit the killbox at close range in your own home with the first round or two, what are the other 28 going to do?
Looks like fun though.

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
I saw these reviewed by a few members of a gun forum that I frequent and immediately wanted one but I've been trying to keep myself from spending the money on it. I had almost forgotten about it and now I see it here and it's back on my radar just in time to buy it as a Christmas gift for me. I'll try to resist but it may end up in the collection.

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
I had been eyeing the H&K semi auto MP-5s but silly expensive - even the Pakistani clones are nearly $2K. Enter the STRIBOG for under half, & an efficient NEW tested blowback design (roller lock not needed for semi auto) These are very practical & nicely crafted guns. who knows how long they'll be sold - NOT in California & other non free states already.chopfather wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2019 8:02 pmI saw these reviewed by a few members of a gun forum that I frequent and immediately wanted one but I've been trying to keep myself from spending the money on it. Yup, 870 in 12ga is all you need. Just pump it and pretty much any burgular will beat feet.

IMO - Shotguns can wreck the place to much. I do have a dandy - but would rather repair a bunch of small holes than really big ones.
Special Forces, & Swat - clear structures with short barrel subguns & SBRs. In this case it's all theory until tested. Good to have any edge you can.

Absolutely. A shotgun is a terrible choice for HD and clearing.INSUBORDINATOR wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 4:58 pmIMO - Shotguns can wreck the place to much. I do have a dandy - but would rather repair a bunch of small holes than really big ones.

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
I useto use guns with great big mags for home defense
Then I got into black powder rifles and got good at making the first shot count.
I actually feel safer around town now even with the limited rounds and gun I switched to then I do with the 9 and it’s extended mags
Anyhow one day a few years ago
A tweaked out bum made a literal bum charge at me knife in hand and well right as I was about to draw he slipped landing face first in a mud puddle. It wasn’t until he pulled himself up out of the mud that he noticed the small 9 on my side
with a very nervous smile I said “don’t bring a knife to a gunfight”
He turned around and ran fast.
I went home after that and will admit i was pretty shaken I tossed the 9 back in the gun safe and pulled out the biggest most noticeable pistol I had loaded it and have been packing it on my hip ever since with no issues only compliments and friendly questions.
One of these days I may even go cartridge conversion just to appease the folks who say bp is not viable for self defense .....

Whatever you feel best with - got no use for black powder - also make me nauseous. Compact 9s are great concealed belly guns IMO.Joe123451979 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 1:29 amI useto use guns with great big mags for home defense

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
Lol I’ve made my first shots count very many times hunting bigger badder and more dangerous things than stoned bums
I’ll let ya know when I take down a person making my first shot count though it may be awhile as most people see the big a$$ revolver on my hip and leave me the hell alone
I really don’t see the need for 30 rounds as a home defense gun as there is unlikely to be 15 to 30 people breaking into my house at once.
As for people who want 30 rounds for home defense I get it and I’m not opposed to it the big point was more about hitting what your aiming for with the first few rounds rather then the 29th or 30th round
shooting black powder and actually hunting with it has greatly improved my aim and skill with firearms as you generally only get that one shot.
With the revolver I pack around I get 4 more shots if I really need them for some reason
I feel perfectly safe keeping it beside my bed or walking anywhere with it despite living in one of the biggest counties in Oregon for meth heads and crime.
Ive noticed that people are generally friendlier and more polite too but that only happens when I open carry.
speak softly and carry a big stick so to speak
I get the easily concealed part to but I’m not doing that anymore Just like bees in nature with black and yellow I like to advertise that I sting so I don’t have to sting

Re: EVER hear of or SEE A "STRIBOG"
Fun toy for plinking or looking cool.
But defense? Not sure.
The best gun for home defense or any other defense for that matter is the one you shoot with and train with regularly.
While a stock might make that seem "more accurate" it's also blowback design.
If you think you will have multiple targets and/or need follow-up shots, have fun reacquiring sight picture with that bolt moving back and forth.
I will stick with a 4" K frame in .38 Special, I prefer "point and click" interface when shots matter.
For ammo I want something with respectable FPS (less flash and kick for follow-up) and with a good mix of expansion and penetration.
Right now my go to is Winchester Ranger or T&D.
Chances I'll ever need more than 6 rounds within my 24' x 40' rancher? Slim.
The LONGEST possible indoor shot is about 25 feet.
I'm no Jerry Miculek, but I practice reloading MORE than I practice shooting.
