Why are new studs included in the Raceway kit? I'd rather not remove/replace the factory studs if it isn't necessary.

I have no experience with the Raceway kit but do remove broken studs for a local shop. My guess is they provide studs so if you break a stud you have a replacement on hand which is a better experience than having to source a stud after you break one.

I'll suggest you use a penetrating fluid before you attempt to remove the nut or the stud if you go that route. Get the engine hot and then apply a bit of penetrating fluid a few times as the engine cools. I like Kroil penetrating oil but also hear very good things about a 50/50 mix of Acetone and Automatic Transmission Fluid.

EDIT ADDITION: I also suggest you consider using Anti-Seize on the studs and nuts when you install them. It will make the next removal a bit easier.

The Raceway kit also has extra thick gaskets. The longer studs were there to accommodate the thicker gaskets

I stayed with the OEM studs. No problem using the slightly thicker gasket. Anti-Seize is a good idea.

I use it myself, but I was never sure whether the anti-seize will survive the head temperatures.

My OEM studs were a little rusty, so I did swap them, but the ones from Raceway rusted even faster and more profusely so I wish I hadn't.

Kind of liking the 2 into 1 out the left side. Not very fond of the prices. See many urals with 2 into 2's but the exhaust right next to the gas can makes me nervous :)

Anti-sieze typically has glass beads (silica) in it. On hot applications, the graphite carrier paste may burn up or dry out, but the beads remain to make fastener removal easier.

If your rig has the new style exhaust gaskets that sit down in the exhaust hole you wont need the longer studs. If you have the old style that go between the flange on the header and the head you may need them. If you're installing their complete kit, you may also have to get creative when mounting the Z pipe to the rear mount.

Main benefit for me to go 2-into-1 on the right is to keep the left muffler from hanging up on stuff (snow, rocks, etc).

That's a non-issue. There's lotsa air space between the muffler and the gas can. ;)

Did you buy just the header pipes or did you buy the muffler package too? I like the idea of running exhaust on the right to clear the left side. I've seen headers on eBay at a better price but not for a 750CC, only 650cc's.

I bought the complete 2 into 1 high right system with the FMF(?) can from Raceways. Works and sounds great but if doing it again I would just get the headers and the riser (Z-pipe?) and use an XL Sportster take-off can for a lot less money. They're smaller, lighter and sound good w/o being too loud. You will need a spacer/reducer to mate the 1.5" Ural pipe to the 1.75" XL inlet.
Don't know what manufactures 2 into1 system you're looking at that are for 650's only? Don't think routing is different between 650/750 but in 06(750) the head pipes heads mounting changed from slip-in to flange mount and later in 014 with EFI the headers include the bung for the 02 sensors.

Looking for the 750 Header. All the overseas sellers I've found only have 650cc's available.

Forget shopping overseas for flange mount 2 into 1 head pipes. Some really old 650 Urals ran 2 into 1 but again they are all slip-ins and you will have to add the flanges from any 06 or later pipes. You could chop your existing flanges to add on. For the flange mount 750 era 2 into 1 headers you're pretty much stuck with miraculously finding a used after market set someone is willing to give up, have custom pipes made, buy 650-early750 slip-ins and weld on the flanges, or buy new aftermarket ones. Sorry, not the cheap what you wanted to hear solution but you have to decide how bad you want a 2 into 1 system, then weigh the cost/budget-vs-work/grief ratio and go from there.
