Lost USPS need help

Post by Mothra35 » Fri Jan 12, 2018 10:22 am

So I had some custom Forks made from a Friend in Russia

See his post ------> viewtopic.php?f=4&t=49572&p=634908&hilit=toggle#p634908

My Tracking Number is CA033727683RU

USPS is being no Help,,,saying they can't find it, but giving me no information...saying it is lost and there sorry.
I don't understand why they do not have what truck they scanned it to and whatnot

Anyway, if you all could keep your Eyes peeled on other forum and this one (hope it is not someone here) of someone in the US of A that has pimped there ride with these toggle forks let me know. And then start a collection up to bail me out. :twisted:

Thanks for any help.

Can you contact the "Brooklyn Distribution Center" directly? Seems to me that is the last place hands were put on your package.

It was scanned as leaving there, but that doesn't mean it was actually put on a truck.

I know, not much help.......but I feel your pain. Lost a couple of packages via USPS and it is very frustrating.

You may want to check with the lad that sent you the item (to see if he also put the shipping info inside of the package ). I have had large and small items that only had the shipping label on the outside of a box, the label was damaged or removed and the items were left in "limbo". If you can contact someone at the last point of scanning and maybe describe this unique large item maybe they can assist ??? Believe it or not there are friendly people in Brooklyn. : ). Good luck.

Thank you, very much we hope. My Russian friends in the US said that this is possible because of the weather, then you have a lot of snow.

Losing international packages sucks. I had a bunch of motorcycle parts sent from Singapore that were undeliverable because no one was home to sign and when I went to the post office they couldn't find them there either. The end result was a six month process of total helplessness that included futile letters to the postmaster general in DC. The whole time the package showed as waiting for me to pick up from the post office, but the post office was no help in locating the package whatsoever. The claim has to be filed by the shipper with the shipper's postal service (Singapore in this case) and they wouldn't do it because the package was still technically in transit!

After almost a year, the package had a shipping status update that it was being sent back to some facility for undeliverable mail and that's that. Hope your story ends better than mine.

I called the post office, they told me that since the parcel is in the US, they can not help me. But I'll go to the post office any day and write a complaint.

Cool. Kinda what I hope. But figure I post this topic since USPS claim person Veronica Nunez in New Orleans called me and said sorry it's lost....in short text

We will let this thread get lost and hopefully in the near future I will post that it came in.

Well that sucks, lost immediately after being turned over upon clearing customs as JFK. Probably between customs and USPS, so handlers at JFK are probably the culprit. Sounds like some jackalope in NYC just gotta new front end and USPS and Russia Post will try to now w@$# their hands of it. Bummer, afraid a fellow resident of America pinched the damned thing.
