Reverse Gearing Hand gear question

Post by MountainSteed » Wed Aug 14, 2019 12:16 pm

I have a 2005 Ural Tourist with the reverse gear hand knob as opposed to the right foot reverse foot peg. I noticed the reverse know and stem are very loose. It still will go in and out of reverse, though the knob and stem wiggles loosely.

I am also unable to shift from 3rd to 4th gear.
Seeing 3rd and 4 t gear are on the same gearing as Reverse, I am wondering if there is a spring that keeps the reverse gear firm? If there is, then I would imagine the spring may have failed interrupting my ability to shift from 3rd to 4th gear....

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
