Don't know any easy/cheap/magic tricks. For grease/grime removal I scrape the big clumps out of the corners etc. I've used engine gunk and it helps for the oily/greasey stuff. The stained areas require old fashioned elbow grease and a stiff parts brush and solvent. Verisol(sp?) was a good parts washer but I mosty just used gasoline. Naptha is good but none of makes it look dealer showroom bright. To get cast alum case surfaces back to original brightness you can try Brillo pads but expect the rough cast surface will just shred them. Think...cleaning your concrete side walk steel wool. :( If ya gotta have orig factory brightness, clean/degrease as best you can then explore soda or other media blasting.

I sprayed it on full strength let it set a while then sprayed again to see where the really tough places were used a plastic bristle brush and repeated til I was happy and hosed it off.

Yep, or aqua blasting. I know someone does this, parts come out like new. As with sand blasting have to be dismantled tho I think really, which is a right PITA if you just wanted to clean your engine, not have it to bits.

Easy-Off will work. Very powerful. Don't get any on your paint. If you ever get something melted onto you pipes or engine like plastic, easy-off is great. Works with heat obviously. Can be toxic.

That Green Magic product looks pretty incredible.

hey guys word of caution, i have damaged polished aluminum with common cleaners, like permanent etching on the surface. some of this stuff if left to sit to long will eat aluminum.
