Steve, I looked everywhere and could not find a replacement, including checking with all of the U.S. distributors for all of the switches for that company. I was going to try foreign countries distributors, but decided to just go ahead and put in an on/off switch cutting into the line under the fuel tank. I then mounted the switch to the left of my dash alternator light. I also installed a switch for the light bar running lights that I installed and mounted it to the right of my "neutral" dash light. I'm satisfied with the way they both worked out. Also, when I looked in the switch mechanism in the right handle bar, it looked like Ural had rewired it so that I would need to do some wire changes to make the switch work. Not being an electrician, that looked like a little too much for me. Hope this helps.

Bob :)

Yup! Still around, Lee! Had a bad float valve needle. Leaked... no, RAN gas into the cylinder. Disassembled carb; inspected needle and thought it looked fine. Cleaned and reinstalled everything. It did it again! Out to the Kawasaki dealer to buy one, tiny, miniscule needle for $32!! Ouch! Worked fine after that.

Of course, by then it was too late to make to the 3x3x3. Other difficulties ensued after that. Long story...

Anyway, back on the rode now. All assembled and running. :-) BUT my tranny is giving me fits: it keeps jumping out of third. Still messing with the upshift gear adjustment screw. Sigh.............

BTW, save my hat. I'll get it this fall.

Thanks for the reply, Bob! Sounds like a good solution for you and your Bavarian.

I'm working with 2006 Domino switch gear. Lost the cover to my E-start button. Also want to mount a switch for my garage door opener and thought that the Domino switch you showed would be an elegant solution! However, I'm really not suprised that it's seems not to be available in the US. Like you said, could probably purchase from a European dealer for big bucks and big shipping charges! Oh well...

There's a Ural just now on E-Bay who's owner has adapted the switch for a garage opener. Nice installation with an alternate switch in the headlight blank location.

Yeah, my '78 BMW R80/7 had that kind of light. The small bulb was only good for young eyes on a very dark night going slowly. Or to leave on when parked.

That's what it's for.
Turning parking lights on is mandatory in Europe when the vehicle stays (or is left) in the dark on the road or a place where it could constitute an obstacle.
