It will cause radio frequency interference (RFI) - EMI (Noise). In a long run it can possibly cause damage to coil/magneto, electronic ignition or ECU due to no resistance.

Your engine can also run differently...

Yes only AM radios and old VHF TV's were mostly affected. UHF TV, FM and especially the modern digital stuff, cares not a jot. :D

If it helps, I changed my plug wires to straight copper and non-resistor caps, still resistor plugs tho, works fine, the 5k in the plugs is good enough.

Nope, not IMHO. As long as they are the correct heat range. We have to remember, these are not really high tech machines. They are closer to a "ditch pump" motor! :P

I bought a set of BP7HS on Amazon.
Planning to buy another set to have as spares.

I bought 4 BP7HS plugs from Amazon. I received 4 BPR7HS and returned them.
Found, hopefully, the correct plugs on Ebay.

I've been getting BP7HSC plugs at my local West Marine. They tell me the C only means that they are gapped at the factory.
I don't know what application they serve in boats,I go there because they still have the old style display rack - you can find your plugs without having a counter jockey look them up on a computer, which tends to be near impossible if your machine isn't in their data base.
Maybe other marine stores or marinas have them too.

They told you wrong about the C. A dash and a number at the end means they’re gapped at the factory:

I have yet to find a motorcycle that runs differently with resistor-type spark plugs, so I saw no reason to horde non-resistor plugs when I saw NGK would stop making them. But the horders are out there if you want them, selling on eBay.

Seems opinions vary regarding Resistor Vs. Non-Resistor plugs.

I've always run non-resistor NGK BP7HS plugs with good results, but they are becoming harder to find.

For anyone looking, they can be had on FleaBay.
