Just thinking out loud here.

The advertised price includes a proper trailer in good condition. That's added value. Also, do M70/Retros tend to command a mild price premium, due to their lower production numbers and presumed demand in the Ural market? I've read nothing but compliments about this particular model, every time it's been mentioned on this site.

Perhaps the foregoing will put the $7.5K ask in perspective.

The Googles says that you're just 20 miles/27 minutes away, Lew.

Why would it need another drivetrain that is essentially the same?

'Cause I knows whats I gots ... Power arc, rebuilt carbs, rebuilt alternator, Herzog trany, new u-joints, rebuilt final drive, and a "tuned" rear brake drum.

But other than that, no reason.

The tires are 705 Shinko's. A decent and fairly stout dual sport tire, but not designed for sidecar service as far as I know. I have 150-70/17 on a two wheeler, 4 ply nylon/aramid, load range B, 717 pounds.
I don't know what the 18 inch 705's are rated at, likely similar, but not a sidecar rated tire. I imagine it might serve, but actual Duro 6 ply hack tires are priced about the same if not less.
