The adventure of my timing system exploding has led me to what seems like the root of the problem. Bearing inside the drive housing broke apart, worked it's way up the shaft into the timing gears and rolled around inside the timing system until my gears ruined themselves.

Anyone have one hanging around before I either send my money to Russia or spend 350 on a new part?

I might have one I’d part with, I’ll check when I get back to my shop tonight.

I can't see the photo (lik says something about signing in because it might be porn  ) so don't know what happened. But if you're talking about the alternator to timing case drive adapter do a forum search for "Krytox". Lots of information in several threads there. I had a 2004 which didn't end up having the issue but I had intended to replace the bearings so got some SKF bearings and applied Krytox to them but they're still in the wrappers on the shelf. Some drive adapters had bearing failures because the bearing grease cooked out of them.
