I went to my local AAA and handled it. It was super easy. I was very surprised because it had an out of state title, had not been registered since 2007 I believe and sold to the person I had bought it from. I got a bill of sale from them and tried my chances. Also when I originally posted it showed my pictures, but now I cannot see them. Can you see them still? Or were they ever there for you guys. Just trying to figure out a good way to post pictures.

Yes, that was an out of state bike and with less than required 7500 miles to be exempted in California. You got lucky, you did good. Enjoy your new toy!

Almost 16 years ago I had bought a 1999 BC and that bike took a taxi cab on the way home. It had only 47 km on odo and was not running due to original purchaser (old Moto Guzzi fella) tinkering too much with carbs... He bought the bike in 2003, it was sitting too long at the dealership :D

That's a great picture. In the mid 2000s I had a Ford astrovan with a V6 and manual 5speed, I took out the back seats and would haul motorcycles. My friends and I rode British choppers that would occasionally break down. Back then I lived two blocks from the projects, unfortunately some crooks stole my van used it in a robbery and got t boned.

Ford astrovan with a V6 and manual 5speed,
Ford Aerostar?

I keep joking with the wife I'm gonna buy a cheap old van just for transporting projects like this
1999 Yamaha Royal Star Venture
2007 Ural Tourist - The Big Red Brick
Chinese Knock off Honda Trail 70 rescued from the in-laws shed
1984 Suzuki LT125 Quadrunner - Sold off to a Friend
Boats, Jets Skis and Golf Carts...other fun stuff!

Yes, Ford aerostar, my mistake. I highly recommend it for motorcycle transport. The back end is low enough for easy loading and that 5 speed kept it interesting.

Not only the Ural but the BMW R80/7 also took a cab ride one year later in 2005 as well :D
BMW R80/7 in good running condition was bought as a first heart transplant for 1999 Ural Deco Classic.
Loading either one in Ford Windstar is only possible via sliding side door, because there is not enough clearance through the back ramp.
