Sounds incredibly boring. I doubt anyone will attend.

While I enjoyed the films, I'm not a "Potterhead", so I'll have to wait for the explanation. :lurker:

So my first reaction to seeing this was "suh-weet, I'm in!"
But looking at the calendar, I'd have to come down Friday after work, arriving 10pm if I'm lucky and then leave 1st thing Sunday morning.
So now I'm a "maybe."

Don’t blame ya. If I don’t see you then hopefully we’ll meet up at the Fall JDH.

The wizard is Dumbledore. The basin with liquid in it is called a pensive. In the picture Dumbledore is pulling a memory from his mind to re-live later (by him or someone else) using the pensive.

We are all nerds / geeks in my household and proud of it.

Sounds like fun!
If I can get away I’ll probably attend, but that’s likely to be a last minute decision for me.

Wish I could be there (I grew up very close to Lake Anna - I remember when the basin started filling - and spent most of my life in Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg) but graduation is that Saturday (I am a teacher).
I have a few highlights for the attendees:
Go to Carl's (frozen custard stand) in downtown Fredericksburg and be transported to 1955
Also, Red Dragon Brewing and Strangeways Brewing are worth visiting.
It looks like fun!

Lokiboy made the trek from Yorktown to Gordonsville today so that we could spend the day finding routes that could be contenders for the rally. It was great weather for such an endeavor.

From my house, we rode to Lake Anna State Park to check out the campground there.

From the campground, we headed south to the city of Louisa, where we stopped for lunch.

From Louisa, we rode some fun 600-series roads to Scottsville, where we checked out Tavern on the James, a neat old dining establishment situated a stone's-throw from the James river.

Before we departed on our exploratory journey, I tightened the Little Red Bear's left headlight/fairing screw and thought I felt it strip the threads. I did. I watched it vibrate loose through the course of the day, but the close quarters of the fairing kept it from falling out... until we scrambled down the gravel road that led to the Rappahannock campground. That knocked it right out. Fortunately, the campground owner allowed me to rummage through a Mason jar of fasteners and I found a suitable solution.

The Rappahannock campground is decidedly smaller than Lake Anna State Park, with no electricity or flush toilets, but it's cheap and a little closer to restaurants and shopping.
