Here's an extract of the current 10 day forecast for the Gettysburg area.

But for some anticipated rain on Thursday, when a few of us are arriving, the rest of our 3 day weekend appears rather pleasant.

Thanks for that.

My current plan is to arrive Thursday afternoon. I'll be leaving from Odenton, Maryland. Hopefully the rain will hold off until after I get there.

Not sure what time I'm heading out, I'm awaiting delivery of new Alpinestars gloves to replace my SP2's that will soon be retired after wearing through the index finger and thumb on the right hand...They will be in on Thursday.
Probably the youngest guy in the room.

It's a Ural event, rain or shine, we ride!
Everyone stuff your two piece Frogg Toggs and waterproof boots/boot covers in the trunk.
Then you have to rummage past your rain gear to find anything in the trunk.
That is the surest ritual to insure you won't get rained on!

Also, in the park the speed limits are 25 mph on the roads and 15 mph in parking areas.
Plus PA has no helmet law.
I'm planning on ditching the helmet in the park for the tour ONLY.
It's a rare opportunity to ride lidless with minimal risk.
This is a reminder to bring your helmet bag/cargo web to secure your helmet if you want to do the same.

No, Rich.

Pennsylvania does have a helmet law. It is relaxed, but there is, for example, an eye protection requirement for all.

I should have said "helmets aren't required in PA."
I think we all have 2 years or more of experience.

It brings up an interesting point though...passengers.
The way the law is written those with "two years of riding experience" are exempt.
It doesn't say "operating experience" so does that extend to passengers?
And if they don't have a license, how do they prove it?

We will be sans helmets in the park, I'm not worried about the law.

I always wear ANSI Z87+ impact rated protective eyewear even with a helmet.
How else will I look cool without my wrap around shades? :givemebeer:
(The only smiley available with shades is also saying give me beer, how appropriate for me!)
I even carry a clear pair for night riding.

OK I was reading an abridged version of the law which didn't list all the details, I just saw it does say licensed to operate a motorcycle for two years.
So I'm going with my passenger is over 21 and in a three wheeled motorcycle with an enclosed cab (sidecar) so is exempt.

So we have logistical problem that needs to be resolved before this thing kicks off.
We have at least three Daves on this trip.
Usually ReCycled is Dave or Uncle Dave.
The time Lokiboy and ReCycled were both at an event it was VA Dave and PA Dave.
When Greywolf showed up at an event, he was Older Dave and ReCycled was Old Dave.
I think we do Oldest Dave, Older Dave and Old Dave.
Or maybe sort them by size.
Any other suggestions? Or for that matter, any other Daves?

And you know we'll be doing "Dave's not here man!" all weekend.
