To quote my late great Grandpa. A wrinkly stubble chinned foul mouthed old coot.
'' well bugger my face off''
It was his stock expression of impressment*

I have been thinking about how to remove the gear box of my uraldnepr Frankenbike.

On my oil head B*W this would take about a year, and result in a 'project bike' being for sale on flea bay.

It looks so easy, the fanciest tool used was a long screwdriver, flantastic, and the useful sidenotes could save your life, or at least avoid total alcohol collapse. Half of it was irrelevant, as I dont have eelectric start whatever that is. Does the mechanic work for their 24 hour race team?

Now there's a thought, a Ural team at the Bol Deour (however you spell that gurly french word)

Superb, Chunko'.

All boarders check out this thread.
There is so much ballocks on Utube that we forget it is a valid resource

*impressment? another word I am trying to get consumed into the great global lexicography. USE IT USE IT USE IT!!!!!
'A true artist never finishes his work, he merely abandons it' Paul Valery, just as applicable to doing up old vehicles.

I love in "engine removal" how he whacks out the footpeg/rear engine bolt until the engine just falls onto the downtube and then he nonchalantly manhandles it up and out.
:o

Haste makes for owner's bitchin' about damaged frame paint.
