Help. 2014 gear up rear break axle mount not coming off
Trying to change the pusher tire, but the brake mount rotates with the axle. The brake mount seems to be seized onto it. I don't want to go banging on stuff at random, so any pointed advise would be appreciated.

Re: Help. 2014 gear up rear break axle mount not coming off
If it's a 1WD bike, simply tap the end of the axle from the right-hand side (after removing the retaining nut and washer) to knock the caliper mount loose.
If it's a 2WD bike, spray some penetrating oil around the axle/mount, then use the hole through the big end of the axle to work it loose, while keeping the mount attached to the torque reaction link.
While you're at it, go ahead and update your signature line with your year and model of Ural, and your location. This gives readers of your posts (like me) context about what you write.

Glad to hear you were able to get yours loose. We have found on some it helps to loosen the Final Drive Mount Bolts. Simply make sure that after you reinstall the axle to torque these back to spec.

Love heat. Kroil is a good penetrant .

SOP on my bike, makes re-fitting the axle WAY easier, and it gives me the opportunity to double-check their tightness. We have found on some it helps to loosen the Final Drive Mount Bolts.
