It looks like the little plastic thing that goes around the end of the parking brake cable (on the brake side) has disappeared off the bike (looked like a little white plastic washer). As a result, the parking brake stopped working.
I just turned the spline part counter clockwise a tad to get the thing to butt right up against the stopper when it isn’t engaged but now it feels like the tension on the parking brake handle is too tight? I don’t want to break the cable.
So on the cable adjustment next to the rear foot pegs, to make the cable a little more loose, do I need to make the 2 sides closer together or farther apart? I’m leaning towards farther apart but don’t want to mess anything up.

Re: Parking brake cable tension
The adjuster at the swingarm is to fine tune adjustment.
Screwing the adjuster in makes the cable housing shorter and the cable looser. screwing the adjuster out makes the cable housing longer and the cable tighter.
