Fuse Box - Fuse Assignment

Woe unto you that bought the first model year of a major remake, perhaps this section can help address any 2014 and later model Ural "imperfections". Here's a special section for folks with the latest rigs to discuss 2014 and later model-related topics such fuel injection, 3-wheel disc brakes, hydraulic steering dampers, spin-on oil filters and other anomalies that don't belong on true Russsian motorcycle ;-P We've gone from using big hammers and greasy wrenches to needing computers and Ouija boards in order to fix our rigs.

Fuse Box - Fuse Assignment

Post by Yakatak » Thu Feb 11, 2016 6:10 pm

The main fuse box layout on my 2014 bears no resemblance to the owners manual pics or the wiring diagram. Wondering if anyone else had this condition and if anyone could supply a better guess as to fuse assignments. I REALLY don't want to remove my fairing to get in there. I'm trying to trace a key-off battery drain (11 mA)....and nope...it's not the tach sender.

I thought that the last time I looked at mine it was 180 deg out from the owners manual. I will look when I'm out in the garage tinkering in a bit if someone else doesn't answer first.

I just verified the fuse assignments on mine. In fuse box #1 (bike) they are inverted compared to the manual (180 deg out). Also, the ones listed in the manual as 20 amp are 15 amp on the bike.

Hope that helps. Scot

Upside down and wrong fuses were easy. Just wait until you try and follow the wire color codes. GAH!

I have all 15 amp fuses throughout. Fuses by left fork and fuses for sidecar outlet and light are all 15's. Is that typical? I have the manual but can't seem to match it up.

And to confuse things further, some earlier 2015's are 180 deg out and the later models are the same as the manual...

And just to confuse you even more, here's the aux fuse panel on my 2011 ...

(I made it myself so I wouldn't have to dig around under the neck or overload the stock fuses with accessories.
