Looks like a great trip. What windshield do you have installed? Are you happy with that type? I’m leaning toward installing a similar style and wondered what your thoughts were. Thanks

It is a Givi, I don't know what model. It was on the rig when I bought it last year. It is a little small but still provides decent coverage. Only real complaint is that it mounts with 2 stays to the handlebars, so it vibrates and bounces quite a bit, especially on rough roads. I have put a small piece of clear tubing (split lengthwise) along the bottom edge where it rests on the headlight brow.

With the camera mounted to the helmet, how do you find the shutter button to snap a photo? What is the camera type?

Lokiboy,

My camera is a waterproof point & shoot Fuji FinePix XP90 that I wear on a break-away lanyard, it's not mounted to my helmet. The lanyard serves a dual purpose, if the camera slips from my hand or if I need to let go of it in a hurry to get my hand back on the bars, it won't be lost. I use a break-away lanyard so that if it gets tangled up in an accident it will pop the clip and not strangle me!

When I was shopping for a camera I wore my gloves to make sure I could easily operate the on/off and shutter. I have an older Cannon Power Shot ELPH 100 HS that I also use, but it is not waterproof.

Forgot to upload this video of crossing Wolf Creek Dam after leaving Kendall campground. Beautiful area.

I don't know what the summer will bring but I sure the Heindl's can hold their open house this year. It would be great to see everyone.
