Thanks Chad. It still takes time, but I'm trying to have fun with it and make something I'd like to watch. We head back this Sunday to pick it up.

I'm intrigued by Janus motorcycles. Did you get a chance to ride one?

Chad, I can't ride a 2 wheeler, inner ear.

My son rode the Janus. I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you all about it.

Yes, I'd like to get the low-down. The smallest displacement motorcycle I've ever owned was my wife's 500cc Buell Blast!, which was quite light and low powered, but the Janus seems to be in a completely different class.

I can give you the mechanical low-down and ride reports. However our sizing is not comparable. You can pop me a PM if you have serious Janus questions.

Sent you a PM on Facebook with my son's phone number. Feel free to call him, he's expecting you.

I can tell one about the Janus, the motor, riding, etc.
I cannot give anyone first hand riding experience if they are north of 160.
One of the founders is Chad's size and he rides them all over.
If serious - find one, go to Goshen, or wait for a close-by demo.

My short -
Great bikes for a certain mission, look good, perform good and simple.
I like a few slight mods concerning stock jets, wire loom, crankcase venting back into the intake.
I also think Richard had the seat springs designed for his size, so if one is south of 175 and riding a Halcyon (hardtail), I recommend softer seat springs. I designed a more classic style sprung seat - simply the same seat with classic rear springs.

Thanks Propwash, good information! It’s impressive that co-founder Richard rode cross country. Not to disparage TCF, but like myself in the 230 pound range I’m concerned if there is enough power for even short hops. I like the design and uniqueness and could see this as a nice local ride bike. I’ll continue to research but appreciate your thoughts.
