It's probably one of those auto-change words set up in the forum. Kinda like w.a.s.h.e.d changes to w@$#ed. But we know what you meant. :D

Merry Christmas to you both. I hope you are enjoying yourselves and have a very happy new year!

Hope you are all well and staying out of trouble. We are off to the dealer tomorrow to have the drive wheel hub replaced. The wheel bearings were flopping about. We thought that there was a bushing worn out, but, no bushing there so the hub has to be changed. Then Pferdi will be in the best he has been in years.

We are still in Rome as you will see from Yvonne's blog. https://fyoconnor.wixsite.com/nofixedabode.

It is so much easier to let Yvonne do the writing and me just post a link.

Stay safe in this crazy world. When we can hit the road again (we want to explore Europe) I will start to write. In the meantime I am taking the easy way out.

It's got to be exhausting traveling and navigating Europe at this point?
However being stuck in Italy can't be the worst think in the world. Take it easy on the pasta or you'll need heavier-duty shocks.
Happy Safe Travels and New Year to you guys.

Here is the latest. Portugal is the final destination where we plan to settle. Hopefully we will get a vaccine reasonably soon after we get there and then next year we could start to check out Europe. We might even do Ireland and England weather permitting. Maybe I could buy you a pint Mr Wazzock. The other news is we will add to the stable with Honda NC750x. Any one out there got one?

Made it to Portugal twice in 2019, with a November 2020 trip canceled due to you-know-what.

Really relaxing place, totally enjoyed it. Went in April and November so the tourist count was less, out in the hinterlands we would have castles to explore by ourselves. I could see staying there for extended periods of time also. The US $ goes far there. Less rain in the Alentejo region, but maybe the rain in the north will remind you of Ireland...with Galicia region of Spain not that far away.

Have fun, envious.

Fran and Yvonne seem to be haunted by C19 measures.
As soon they came off the ferry in Barcelona, Spain they got confined once more.
Now this week they were free to go direction to Portugal.

Pferdi got real headache:
Fran asked me to inform you friends, as he is cut off the grid in the neighbourhood of Valencia, that he is "blessed" with a new offering to the gods of speed (like Mr Burt Monroe would say / I would say the spirits of overload and "stop and cook" in town trafic)
PHOTO-2021-05-12-10-46-15 (1).jpg
Fran wants to keep Pferdi's left piston for a whiskey glass.
I propose to only and exclusively use it for "Irish Mist"*

* Yvonne do you agree?

Poor Pferdi suffered from so many hard climbs and didn't like at all the several month of forced resting. As soon they were able to leave Barcelona in only 175km it took them 12 hours and 11 liters of oil until Pferdi broke down completely.

Good news, they found a friendly mechanics.
Fran I love your humour:

Best wishes to all and most of all to Yvonne, Fran and Pferdi on the other side of the big spit pot.
On, on.
Sven
