You may need a few boxes of popcorn. They have not been produced for almost 20 years. Snooze and you will lose...

IMZ sold the tooling to the Chinese. I installed a new built 650 crank in my engine last summer.

Anybody bought650 crank from Russian Garage? 229.00 plus shipping still save over 100.00, quality of those cranks? Russian or Chinese?

I bought one. It's straight, and seems good. Haven't fired the engine yet, so will let you know. I decided I'd take a shot at the savings.

So most of you guys will NOT hesitate to $#!+ all over a dealers thread who takes the trouble to list the rare parts he has for sale here? You won't support a stocking dealer in the USA? You'd rather jump in and yell "Oh! Oh! I know where you can get it cheaper!".
Bunch of classless jerks to do that. Seriously. Let people do their own shopping! Folks in this section are trying to earn a living here, not just blow stuff out at firesale prices to entertain the cheapskates.
yeah, I might be addicted to brake fluid. But I can stop any time I want.

Damm Russians are in collusion with the Chinese, sell them the tooling, better product, cheaper price! Putin will go to no end to disrupt things!

Wow....a bit harsh Rich. Quite simply people have a choice between a parts from Russia, or parts from a USA based parts supplier. There are advantages and risks to both.

Nah, Rich is right. Turning potential customers away from a good seller on the seller's own thread is a total "dick move", and Heindl Engineering is a REALLY good seller; one that we, as a Ural community, should want to support and keep around.

It might be a little different if the seller was just some a-hole forum member that needed to be put in their place, but Jon and Dave Heindl do a lot for the Ural community. It's in our best interest to keep them in business.

+1, Chad. I'll be the first person to opine on the value proposition of some dubious goods peddled in the Black Market, but undermining Heindl is bad mojo.
