Well, for $2800 I'm totaly happy!
Adjusted the valves and re-torqued the heads. Re-set the timing and adjusted the carbs.. Runs good now with 2 new sparkplugs. Spent about 10 hours tinkering and now have 13Km on the road.
I think I've fixed a bad ignition switch with WD40 (no running lights).
Sunday morning I'll go at it again.
The whole neighborhood knows me now!!

Well done - I'm sure they are just the first of many, many happy kilometers!

Welcome and enjoy the rig :) Even if you have to make upgrades at $2,800 I think you got a bargain for a bike with low miles and that clean.

:deal: WOW very nice I think you got a great deal.. I paid a lot more for my 2000 Ural Deco.
I have done nothing to it other then a battery and personalized it different lights seat things like that so I guess it just depends on the bike I have done almost nothing to mine and it had been sitting in a garage for a while but it has not let me down yet other then the broken throttle... (KNOCKING ON WOOD) so everything does not go wrong now...

5200km on it now. Re-jetted,re-fuse blocked,re-aligned,repacked brgs. and dicked with the brake shoe adjustment for each wheel so that it almost stops now.
Still have not replaced the alternator(still saving money) and the type 3 ignition seems to be working fine.
I ride it to work every day!
And still having a blast!!

Do not worry about having a type 3 ignition. A lot of us feel that it was better then the type 4 or 5 any day of the week.
We may not have it all together,
But, together we have it all.
