2004 Wolf Solo

Post by IWannaUral » Sat Nov 16, 2019 5:08 pm

Hello, I am thinking of buying a low(?) mileage (2400 miles) Wolf Solo, sight unseen so far other than pictures. He is asking 1500 USD. It looks wonderful in the photos. I have to drive a ways to inspect it, so could any of the fine folks here on Steeds tell me what I should look for, on my inspection? I've never owned a Ural, though I am somewhat familiar with the brand. Thank you.

Post your location and/or the Wolf's location, and perhaps a local Uralista will accompany you to help assess the Wolf's condition.

Used /5/6/7 BMW Boxers are a better solo. Lighter, Faster, handle Better, + more reliable.
I like Urals for Sidecar Tugs. My last choice for Solo.
Current Motorcycles: Improved 2002 Ural Tourist.

I agree the BMW is superior but for $1500 I'd jump. I have 2 solos, and really enjoy the character of these machines.
