Checked my cT which has black rims, its non ferrous so assume Aluminum for 2019 as well.
2010 was the last year IMWA used steel rims.

2010 the Ural was only a random check in - me, I learn one magnet check at a time!

heard from HQ US (via Australian Importer/agent) The advertising was incorrect on their web site, should have stated only the 2019 models with 19" wheels are from a new supplier and new alloy.
The cT will continue to have the same rims as before. They are performing ok and no reason to change at this stage.

So there we go

Just for the record, I've just found out my rims are 2013, on a 2016 CT. My dealer opined that they make them in big batches, so that they have a few years worth sitting in storage.

It wold make sense. Low volume and better to run a big lot off though you have to store it someplace as well.

Likely a case by case decision.

Also, not just Ural, a lot of manufacturers do that. For all sorts of different products. Only they don't put dates on the parts! So that customers don't query them, when the product is supppsed to be brand new! If you were going to put anything on at all, it would instead be an esoteric serial number which means bugger all to anyone who doesn't have access to the inhouse stock database. Wherein is reccorded when it was made etc.
