Tactical Backpack at Cheap Price

Post by France_Fadeley » Fri Jan 10, 2020 6:01 am

Greetings!

First of all, I want to say "Happy New Year" to all of you. :D Secondly, I would have to admit that this holiday season, I am little late in my shop but finally willing to purchase a tactical backpack that I can easily carry while riding and even walking at campsites etc. In this regard, someone suggested me to go with Falcon II but I am also not sure about stitches. Another option is tactical backpack of Magforce International ( http://www.magforceus.com/all/magforce- ... kpack.html ) but didn't purchase anything from Magforce that's why I have no idea about the quality.

So, it would be great if you share better pieces of advice with me. Some other options could also be Rush72 of 5.11 but I am not sure either I can carry any weapon with it and also don't know about its anti-theft zipper and waterproof features. So, it would be great if you suggest me one of the most reliable tactical backpacks that you have used for both Ural riding and wild camping by carrying the weapon, body armor, laptops, camera etc.

I need a suggestion about the backpack. Would prefer the tactical ones. Your views?

You’ll probably get more / better responses if this were to be moved to the “the other toy box” section of the forums.

For "cheap price" your best bet is look into mil surplus gear.

Maybe I should mention many bikers wear a backpack / rucksack, that's why it might be construed as a motorcycle accessory. :D

That looks like a big mutha tho? :o

Mentioned the tactical ones because in my opinion they are more resiliant.

I would go with mil surplus as well I looked at the price listed of what you were thinking about and I wouldn’t pay that much

Not sure what kind of weapon you plan on carrying or size
Of it

I use an ilbe for extended hiking it’s got an assault pack on it that doubles as a second pack and haven’t had any problems with it however now that I look at pricing I wouldn’t get an ilbe either lol!

I've had the same Maxpedition Falcon II as my EDC man purse for 6 years or so and it's a great bag FOR ME. I had their monsoon gearslinger before that. It WAS worth every penny of the $140 or so I paid for it and if you look, you can find them cheaper. It's built like a tank and it's easy to see where the money you've spent has gone when you're holding it. I've never heard of magforce, but it looks to be a shameless copycat of Maxpedition even down to the logo. I own several Maxpedition products and try to give them my money when I can to support them because they make legit high quality stuff, but like Aerostitch or Klim, it's up to you whether it's worth the money for quality. The falcon II has plenty of pockets and storage for little things inside of those pockets. It also has good provisions for concealed carry and a water bladder. I've never had any problems with any of stitches and it's built with heavy duty ballistic nylon that is stitched extremely well. The zippers are heavy duty and the two main compartments have a locking system to keep them from coming open. Miles above anything government issue and way more imaginative with their pockets. I rarely actually wear it while riding but it is comfortable even loaded and the straps have good padding and plenty of adjustability from both the top and bottom to go over a t-shirt or thick winter motorcycle gear. It's got four compression straps that are awesome not only for adjusting its size but also for strapping to a luggage rack or sissy bar. It's not a "riding" pack or waterproof, but the material seems to be weather proofed. It's tactical so it's stealth and has no reflective surfaces, if you care about visibility, you need to add it. It's completely overbuilt so it's pretty heavy.

Yeah avoid stuff the military uses
It’s all crap but pay no mind to the fact that some of the stuff the military issues is made by

Maxpedition .....

I dislike the style of the Falcon/Magforce for riding. It has a slim profile that stacks weight away from your back instead of spreading it across. Heavy loads can end up flopping all over your back.
The 511 bag you listed is twice as big as the other ones. https://www.511tactical.com/rush-12-backpack.html is the same size. I have several 5.11 bags, and they all have exceptional build quality.
If you want cheap and tough-- https://www.ebay.com/itm/Eagle-Industri ... 1&LH_BIN=1
Just avoid any that say RIPPED or TORN unless you have some repair skills. Small Holes can usually be fixed with needle and thread if needed.
