For those of you following, here’s the video I just punched out:

https://youtu.be/oMQjz0a4gpg

I think the sound quality came out well. It purrs at low speeds and sounds beautiful when you open it up. It has a very charming sound that is very suitable to the personality of the motorcycle.

Just a couple notes on the install. I recommend putting some hi-temp anti-seize on the exhaust flanges before mounting the pipes to the cylinder head, it eases the seating process as you tighten it down. The torque spec calls for 25nm or 18ftlbs, but I feel that was 20% too much. Also find some more washers (4 worked for me) for the rear passenger pegs. The GPR kit includes ONE washer to allow the left pax peg to fully tighten (after removing the stock exhaust mount which act as a thick spacer), but but one washer is not enough. I added two additional washers between the frame mount and the swing arm rubber bumper for the left peg for a total of 3 washers; this also properly aligned the bumper with the swing arm. On the right side pax peg I added two washers between the frame mount and the exhaust mount; this helped to align the exhaust better through the opening (between the sidecar mount, driveshaft, and 2WD linkage). The washers are slightly larger than 1/2”, a 9/16” by my best estimate. I simply put 1/2” washers in my vise and made them slightly larger with a round metal file.

Here's hoping they eventually provide fitment for the '14-'15.

Daisy Cutter, I like the Raceway. Granted, the muffler tubing is difficult (read as impossible) to keep clean looking, but other then that... I’m glad I bought a used one, however.
I like it too, over the stock pontoons. My issues are with who it came from and the hassle I had dealing with them....and the cheap coating.

What change between 2015 and 2016 to make this a 2016+ only exhaust?

I believe someone mentioned someone that is a subtle change in the exhaust flange. So obviously not a major modification to make this available for earlier models.

Also curious if anyone can say why the exhaust is labeled off road only.

First guess would be it doesn't meet EPA air quality or DOT noise regulations?

All of the above plus it's illegal to modify anything emissions related unless it's been certified by the EPA and Dot. The level of enforcement depends on the state. Here in Washington it isn't a problem on public roads, but one better have either the DOT, or spark arrestor markings when riding FS roads.

While I have a cT, I too have the issue with getting burned (right elbow is still scabbing off and yes I was dumb) and burned my leather on the left side a number of times now.

To me the advantage of going mid height is that it gets the muffler out of the goop and it will stay cleaner.

Left side access as noted by Chad is better.

A bit more noise is not bad and I wear plugs for any longer distance runs.

I will be interested in any power improvement, I don't need it but more power as long as it does not affect the engine life is alwyas a plus.

Now what do I sell to afford this (unlike the government excess purchases need to be offset with cuts or income)

In my case as I quit work (no I did not retire) and no longer work 4 days a week and have 3 days off, I have to generate revenue to pay for my excess.

What, you never heard of “go pup”?
I don’t think lack of proof reading is the problem there.
