Cool, I like where I think you're headed with this.
'14 Patrol purchased 1/9/16, sold 1/16/18 OR 1.02 map, 497km on first engine. New engine, throttle bodies, throttle cable, rear brake pads/rotor, final drive and 2wd shaft u-joints as of 8/20/16. Mods

PIA. To make a pop up camper sidecar, not making any more soon.
for those that do long distance riding , at 4 or 5pm you need to look for campground or hotel.
with this set pop up, i I can sleep anywhere anytime.
the whole idea is to ride not to spend time breaking camp.

I met an old BMW at Bob's bmw last year.
he did RTW trip, sleep in tow behind camper that was narrow than my side tub.
of course he was not fat either .
You do what you got to do.

I was contemplating a idea of a quick sleeping hammock that hooked in between the side car and bike, with like a receiver hitch in front and back to mount the frame to, then turning the handle bars away from your head (thought feet may kick the mirrors or something) but thought it may be to high up to even get into. Be like a roof top tent for a Ural :D
Even a tarp could be draped to keep morning dew or rain off the bike and you. But I have yet to ride that far for the need anyway.
