I have to add - for others who have no way of affording one of those - that with some good luck, there are cheap Fixer Uppers out there - that can be just as much fun (even if NOT quite as reliable) on a once purchased - Pay as you improve basis. I got just the one I wanted that way - traditional black & chrome, Four 19" interchangeable drum brake wheels, carbureted - & a keeper.

Hopefully good news for the financially challenged.

I do think that the round lights are long overdue. The bike has always been a retro bike, yet the lights have never followed that theme except for the retro and much older rigs. I never liked the lights on mine. But it's not worth the effort to convert. I suspect easiest way (someone asked this) would be to simply swap out the hack fender. My guess is taillight, if the mounting holes are the same, is a simple replacement. Wiring is wiring.

It's not cheap. But nothing is. Went to get some hamburger for the dog (upset stomach) and was shocked to see it was $5.99/lb. And they say there is no inflation.

That's a good price. When I make beef jerky, I have to use a very lean blend. The last time I purchased 97/3, which isn't easy to find, it was almost $10.00 per lb.

Round tail lights are nice, but I'm a fan of the coffins. +1 on the wiring being ... interesting, what with hiding it when stretching the wires to the new light locations, and some weirdness on color coding for us here in the new world. Still on the table is removing the light pod from the front of the car fender.

And when it comes to naming bikes, I decided to go with this. At least, now there's a prayer of a chance that people will pronounce Ural correctly, eh. ;-}

I'm particularly fond of the silver painted plastic "dash". It reminds me of the old metal versions from the pre-EFI Urals. I hope this is a production change that sticks around for all 2020 models.

Now imagine a lever on the tub that'd release about half a trunk's worth of bb's behind the bike to confound the tailgaters. Or the pin you pull to release the sidecar frame as you squeeze into the just-wide-enough casbah alley. Or the small wicker basket in the trunk that holds champagne glasses and a chilled bottle of Tattinger '45.
