value question

Post by pumpkinhead » Tue Apr 09, 2019 12:37 am

So here is the deal, I've got a complete Dnepr 2 wheel drive set up that I was planning on letting go as it's been in storage for ever, a family member imported it and never used it, I've listed it locally a couple of times and got a lot of grief from people that don't seem to know much about them so any ideas on a fair price for the set up? it's the side car with everything needed to convert to 2 wheel drive and I believe it's 50s or 60s in year.

I thought when clicking this thread it would be a question on resale value in general....from what I seen, do not look for getting to much from it.. (but ,,Maybe you can..not trying to discourage) you would think with the number of hipsters growing and the Ural popularity, and new (from 2010-^) price's going up, you would be able to sell any of these Sidecar rigs for a good amount but it seems resale value just isn't there.

Just a thought. I may be thinking wrong entirely

USA huh? Can you narrow that down a bit? And maybe broaden the details some ? Running/non-running, original/non-original, US title? Prolly cost more to ship it than it'll sell for. :(

A used 1wd Ural Side car in very nice condition, will usually bring around $2K, less depending on condition. You may do better selling the 2wd bits by themselves. Remember - CONDITION IS EVERYTHHING. Seen straight, solid, Hacks with all mounting hdw - but needing paint etc. selling here for about $1100.
NO title or license required for sidecar only,
You need to Photograph it, & where it is located, + Show any damage.
Hope that helps. C.

One will need everything on the sidecar side - frame, car (the body may be adaptable, but the frame mounting points are different), final drive and swingarm on the tug side.
Add 25+ to your year evaluations.
Pop some pics.
Otherwise, I'd say $500-$750.
The nannies, noobs and marketers have ruined this place.
