Had a guy on a Harley ask me if Putin knew I stole his motorcycle. I told him he was inside the gas station buying loto tickets then turned around and finished pumping gas. I own and ride a Harley (I've owned 5 actually) as well as my Ural and Royal Enfield, but to be honest I don't really care for too many other Harley owners.
Our best laugh is the Harley ride that never makes it past Lucky Wishbone restaurant (yep good chicken in town)

Or the Girls of Harley who ride to Eagle River (a whole 15 miles North)

But I did meet two guys in Haines AK that drove the ALCAN on their Harleys and it was fun to talk to them. Not them is Harley riders.

I was followed for 4 miles home once, pulled in my driveway opened the garage and was reaching for the back-up bat, when he stepped out the car and was in Army uniform....he asked a couple questions and I asked him " You really want to know about a Ural?" "Get in the Sidecar"...took him for a ride around the neighbor hood...Never seen a soldier look so giddy

I enjoy UDF, most of the time, and usually impute harmless intentions to those who approach me about the rig. That said, I do try to maintain Condition Yellow. Some years ago, my wife was followed as she was driving home. I got on the scene pretty quickly, and nothing bad came from it. The reality of that occurrence continues to inform my M.O. whilst out and about.

I'm thinking about driving my 2008 Tourist from Reno, NV to Sturgis this year. I'm sure someone has done it before and my HD Ultra Classic Electroglide would make it faster and more comfortable but not as cool...................

I ride my Harley all Winter, through any kind of weather, with none of that pansy a$$ riding gear, even when it's 110'F out

I Try to be as tolerant as possible with UDF'ers, some are really obnoxious, but most have good intentions, I've met some nice people, heard some good stories, learned a few things, and I've even bought a couple of motorcycle cheap.
We also operate two business that deal directly with the local public, and I'm a bit of a high profile character, so I try to be as respectful as my notoriously sharp tongue will allow, you never know who people are.
The really obnoxious, and/or dangerous you just need to deal with accordingly.

Happy trails,
