I have great memories of my dad. He was a fantastic father to me and, while I don't regret choosing the Navy as a career, I wish I could have spent much, much more time with him and my mother during the past 26 years.

Now that the Patrol is "finished", I no longer document work on it or modifications to it in this thread. Most of the tidbits I do to it now will be captured in "What did you do to your Ural today?".

My new job is with a government facility escorting persons without a security clearance. It's an incredibly boring job, but I'm paid quite generously to just sit there and watch people work. I can't play on my 'phone (or even bring it into the building) and I can't bring a magazine to read, but I can chat it up with my coworkers and those whom I'm escorting, which has been entertaining in and of itself. This is not my civilian career, but it's gonna help get my workshop garage funded more quickly until I find that career.

I just had to pipe up here because I noticed that this thread has reached 109 stinkin' pages.

Chad, have you considered changing your last name to Kardashian?

Okay, now I'm laughing. Last couple months have been tough and really needed to lighten up.
