For some reason, I expected you to spell it "colour".

Optimistic to say the least....

Ural doing 100 is a helluva lot more likely than my BMW doing 160

Actually I've had my Ural Solo up to about 85-90...did I mention the Solo sT is a bit faster than the sidecar rigs?

In 1980 ( I was 21 years old) I bought a brand new Suzuki GS750, and this was during the one or two years of the speedometers that were federally mandated to read no higher than 85, and the national top speed limit on any and all public roads was still 55 everywhere.

I buried that speedometer needle more times that I can remember, so I have no idea HOW fast that bike was...all I could do was guess from the reading on the tachometer...I figured it was doing about 120 a time or two.

Yes, I got a ticket one time!

Young and dumb and...well you know the rest...

Yep, and it too has about 30% of its dial that's not useful....heck I've seen 50cc mopeds with speedometers that read up to 100...

Wishful thinking....or maybe...a quantity buy?

If you all understood analog gauges, you would know the answer to why the dial reads 100.
