Re: Spring in Colorado NOT in Moab

I plan to arrive Sunday afternoon, coming from Woodland Park, CO, via Gunnison, and I reckon I'll be camping at the Fairgrounds for the week.

Who else is coming, Dana? Do you have any idea?

....(I'll be missing you, Dave, and your wonder dog!)

Re: Spring in Colorado NOT in Moab

For those folks riding over from the Eastern areas if you do not want to spend all of the time on I70 you can get off at Gypsum and come over Cottonwood Pass to Carbondale and then 133 from Carbondale over McClure Pass to Hotchkiss. Cottonwood is dirt and with all of the snow we have had may not be...

Re: Selling our Patrol

I live in the area and saw this bike today on my way home from a birthday party for one of our grandchildren’s friends. This is a sweet machine! Less than 9,000 km, tires all look new, 2 wd, Sean’s steering damper, foot shifter for reverse, matching fairing, new final drive Which Sergei went through...

Re: Auxbeam NF-S1 led & Hella E4 lamp beam shots

Make sure you got the Hella e-code that is made in Germany and not the one that is made in India. The India-made lamp has different cut-offs and is for driving on the left side of the road.

Re: Powder coat survey.

It might be of interest to a few that Rustoleum rattle can 7784 Charcoal Grey Enamel is a virtual match, as far as I can tell, to the Asphalt grey paint on my 2016 GU. I had to replace and paint a side cover, and it looks OEM, a perfect match for the paint on the rest of the rig.

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Got up this morning to welcome the new year, and was greeted with temperature -6 deg. F. and sunshine after a light snow up here in Woodland Park Colorado at 8,500 ft., with Pikes Peak sparkling jewel-like in the distance. Ah! A perfect day for a New Year’s ride! Yah, I did wait until it got up to a...

Re: Spring in Colorado NOT in Moab

I'm definitely up for this! We just moved back to Colorado from Cobb, CA, and now live in Woodland Park, northwest of Colorado Springs and Pike's Peak, up at 8,500 ft. That whole area around Black Canyon is great. We all shall enjoy!

Re: cylinder head temp using a tto brand CHT.

I live in the Northern California mountains. My 2016 GU will run at up to 380 deg CHT when just tootling around. Going up long grades at speed CHT will be anywhere from 420-445 degrees. CHT will drop right back down below 400 as soon as the road levels off, unless I’m trying to maintain 55 mph with ...

Re: 2 to 1 from Russia

looks nice. I like the junction of the left and right headers. The angle of the joint appears to be much better than the Raceway 2-1.

Price, source, and availability?
