I've been promoted!

Just curious, recently I've been promoted from "new member" to "comrade"... to what do I owe this great and nobel gesture?

FWIW - I bought the '06 Raven (last year's special edition) and it did not come with any of the '07 goodies, none, nada zip, zero zilch. :( It actually didn't have all the goodies I thought it was supposed to come with, but that's an entirely different rant altogether. :x Unless something changed, ...

Who me, nahh!! :P Them PNW buggers get all the good stuff! (green with envy) Don lives on the Dry side of Washington, so he's not really a PNWer....and Cob works, writes and talks hard for us all to try to get things improved, so I wouldn't begrudge him or Don a thing.(besides, new parts ...

Re: HD Training Wheels?

What's up with these HD guys and their HD (heavy duty) training wheels I've been seeing around this part of Florida. Looks like a three wheeler, except there's the pusher right smack in the middle between the "trike" wheels. It seems to give them three wheel upright stability, plus a very durable t...

And NOT any form of 'slam' on Ural N/W in ANY way, shape or form (heck I bought MY Tourist from a dealership known to travel across every State line in the USA to deliver a bike in person) but the REASON I bought from Wag's was they were only 75 miles away in Indiana at the time - they have since c...

Re: What's the big deal about solo w/LL forks?

I don't quite understand the trepidation about riding a bike with leading link forks as a 'solo'. I still have my '59 BMW R26 and late-sixties Honda CA77. Both have different leading link-style forks. I'm not conscious of doing anything differently when riding either of those vs. any of my other 12...

[quote="VWNate1"]Yes , that is correct ~ you'd have to re - machine the brake plate to get dual leading shoes and it wouldn't be much better , would not prevent rollback when facing uphill either . -Nate Oops... Re: Gears and Bearings

Wrench Comrades: What exactly are they talking about when they are refering to a taller gear or rear end.And I keep hearing the reference to 3.89 or 4.16 or something.I have a very basic idea. But would like a more detailed understanding.Did the Urals change these ratios at one time. Also,The bearing...
