Thanks! It has been a killer source of air for little projects and tire work.

Have a good one.

It is a foam mat for sitting or laying on instead of a creeper. You can unfold it for various heights.

I used to have a stiff foam square, but it wore out.

Have a good one.

Ammo Cans at Costco

Hey, Folks.

Oddly enough, there are new, waterproof ammo cans for sale at my local Costco for $17, if I remember correctly. It's a set of a 50cal can and a 30cal can. I used the 50cal can for my Ducati spares and the 30cal cal for Ural spare.

Have a good one.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Yesterday insurance adjuster confirmed frame was twisted near steering column. Pretty clear will be written off. Posted on Aug 14 about a woman with SUV who saw me (statement on police report) and still drove forward into my lane and smashed into me. Way to early to know how the insurance plays out...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

After a loooooong delay due to poor communications from Liberty Mutual insurance, Ural NW has been finally able to order parts to repair my GU. I am going to be excited to pick it up soon. While I was up there, I saw another machine in for the crank bearing failure and poorly installed wrist pin ret...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I really wanted that rack, but sticker shock kept me permanently away. My best value was about half of the actual price. Have a good one. I bought from a guy on FB that wrecked his bike or got in a wreck...half price :boogie: benefits of using/being a member on the Ural and soviet steeds FB Nice! T...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

After the days festivities I found that my pusher was 10lbs. under the recommended psi. Filled and the weird handling I had been having went away. Along with the steering head maintenance I did the other day I have one more project to do before installing the new steering damper... I need to adjust...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

When I got home from work today I decided to check into the tightness of my steering head bearing. The bike feels kinda wonky and loose to me. I'm not sure if its because I have been riding the 2 wheelers much more or somethings off. Anyway, the steering nut under the tree was very loose. Took it f...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Checked tire PSI, was down a few PSI on all tires. A lot of guys already have a Battery Tender set up for their bike. This includes a set of wires that connect to the battery terminals, with an SAE plug on the other end. I use that, and power my Slime compressor. Smaller and easier than a hand pump...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Checked tire PSI, was down a few PSI on all tires. So I figured with the ride coming up this weekend I would try the Ural tire pump. Well the hose is cracked and I let almost all the air out of my tire...Dang IT!! Well at least now I know, so I threw the bicycle tire pump in for the weekend that my...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Thanks! I was on the other bike today to get to work. My guess is that the GU is gonna be down for about a month or so. I will be missing it, esp as I can't haul my bicycle on the 2wheeler. Good times! I'm hoping the insurance company ponies up for a rental that can at least haul the bike and Kids. ...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

Wrecked it. Or, had it wrecked for me. wreck it.jpg A gal turned left out of a parking lot, then just stopped in the middle of the road. The fender was wrenched over hard enough to dent the tub. Ugh. . . I'm thankful for the 'crumple zone' between the tire, fork, and head twist. I only came up off t...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

So, after I finally get her running were she can hold 60mph on a flat highway, I figured that I need to tackle the alignment next. I've been reading up on how to do it, and my plan was to get on it after I get back from Pueblo and Garden City this weekend. But then, as a head out start the bike had...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I do think QC is slipping, but also suppliers are catching them out with major batch issues. I had hopes for an EFI rig at some point, esp if there was one more major shift, like a 5sp GB, oil / water jackets, or something along those lines. I am okay with the power output and the other general, cha...
