Re: Separate Video Menu on Main Page?

What a professional looking video. I love the various camera views and it was very well edited. It was one of the best videos I've seen.

Yep, a new front page would be a great idea.

Re: Known Issues list

Steelhorse, You are going to really enjoy riding the Ural. Read the "Yellow Book" posted here, and on the Ural website they have the same book, "How to Ride a Ural" Both are good ref. to make you aware of the differences. Also, things to consider... while it's being put together, now would be a good...

Re: Red line oil, FWIW

I'll give an update after my next engine/trans change (this one was at 10,000km)- might be a while since I'll probably go 10,000 between oil changes.

Poor man's bed liner

Sometimes it’s amazing what you’ll discover then you clean things every now and then. The trunk and tub on Erika had never been cleaned so I decided, after seven months, now was as good a time as any. When I pulled up the rubber mats in both the tub and trunk there was a little water underneath. Tha...

Re: Red line oil, FWIW

I am very happy with the Redline products, I see no reason to go less than 10000km in the transmission unless it gets contaminated. I still change the FD oil every oil change because it is such a small amount. I agree with the timeframe. In fact, I'm thinking with synthetics throughout, I may just ...

Re: Red line oil, FWIW

Just for the heck of it I decided to try Red line oil, I put the heavy duty shockproof in the trans and FD and the 20W-50 MC oin in the engine. My anecdotal observations after 1500 km. FD, No noticeable change Transmission, Significantly quieter in first 3 gears, a little less whine in 4th. Clean s...

EricD,

FWIW - Maybe increasing your idle mix by a 1/4 turn might provide more fuel and a warmer engine. :?

Re: Russia, the worst place for Ural lovers?

Kristof, Man, I will ever complain again about not having a dealer close by. I remember your post about not even being able to have parts shipped by DHL or FEDEX for individual packages. I can’t imagine not having, what we take for standard service as a luxury. Having a Ural in Russia/Ukraine is tru...

Re: Now w/Pics New Ural fresh out of the box

Looks really great. You'll love the adventure. While it's still being put together, now would be a good time to make sure the U-Joints are aligned as shown in the Ural MX videos or on Billy G's service manual at Myural.com, lub the U-Joints while you're at it, and look over the spleens to make sure ...
