I want to fix my ride when I have to and not f**k it up in the process. Agree, I've done the maintenance/repair on my rigs and a well written manual would have helped/saved time. They eventually start to harden and crack, I didn't keep track, but I'm guessing 2-3 years per set.
Sounds about right, I've got in the habit of torquing them to 40-45in lbs (which isn't much).
