I jack the rig once a week and check all the spokes. they are under a lot of stress.

I cleaned them each time with soap and water, cleaned the mating surfaces,1 finger tight on the fastener, yet they hardened and cracked within a couple of years on both pairs.
Mine last about 2-3 years.

I would agree. The GU is easier to steer but the Retro is more responsive.

I want to fix my ride when I have to and not f**k it up in the process. Agree, I've done the maintenance/repair on my rigs and a well written manual would have helped/saved time. The problem with Ural is they keep changing stuff on the fly (aka improvement). :? The gold standard for manuals is/was ...
