Hey Bill, Thanks for the info, that saves me a lot of headache before the move really gets to taking place. One big question my wife and I have is what the "sponsor" is set up to help us with. Do they have a checklist or something? There seems to be a lot of coordination with departments in order to...

Uncle Sam moving me again!!!

Hello all, So I am in need of assistance on this move. It looks like Uncle Sam is going to be moving me to Stuttgart, Germany for a couple of years and then off to the new Africom within 3 years. Not my first move to Germany but it will be my first with the Ural. Anyone have a clue as to what they w...

Rear Brake Switch?

Hello all, I know there is a thread somewhere about the rear brake switch but I cannot find it so I will just ask again. I have been riding for about 6 months without my brake light going on when I use the rear brake alone. When I use the front brake, light comes on. So I finally got down and took o...

Good question as I have wondered this myself. I dont know how people are getting really high KMs out of their gas tank. Myself I have pushed the bike twice, once with less than 5000km and once with more than 15,000km. The first time it was around 180kms on the odo and the second I was into 220kms on...

Took me over 6 months to get the plates for mine in Illinois. That was after the 5 forms of ID I had to have in order to get my DL changed over from Iowa. Funny thing is that I can see Iowa from the DMV in Illinois.

Once you hit that break in milage do like John says "ride it like ya stole it!!" I have been riding to work for over a year now about 60 miles each way at 55-60mph (depends on the wind and hills).

Leaking Final Drive

Hello all, For a couple of weeks now I noticed my final drive was leaking about a quarter size spot on the garage floor each night. I've just been making sure that I had a jug of oil with me so I could keep it full till I could work on the problem. I went through and made sure everything was tight c...

Take a look at the CJ site a little over half way down. On the right you will find a girl with a bucket on her head sitting on the CJ. Now look below the jug and take a look at the giant oil spot!!
