Ural 650 air filter replacement element

When I bought my 97 650 it had a small BMW air filter, finally scored the factory plastic housing but no element just a green stringy rope inside, I guessing this is the horse hair style? I am wondering if someone has replaced with a purolator, gram, k&n paper or foam style element and would like to...

Of course I would piece meal the ignition to keep it running but in the long term I would be saving my money for a ducati or C5 ignition and what I have to do to make it work! Affordable hell no! $400 and some change, when factory ignition on my 97 Ural quit I replaced with ducati ignition, GAME CHA...

2 into 1 exhaust on a 650 Ural

I noticed that alot of 650 urals came from the factory with 2 into 1 factory exhaust, and advantages or disadvantages to this system compared to 2 into 2 system?

Thanks, was told before nothing wrong with it, today at bearing house they said to remove due to cross contamination, thanks for the clarification

Question the blue grease on the bearing with shields, okay to leave it w@$# away eventually or remove with mineral spirits and oil?

Clutch screw removal

Have the allen panhead screws on the plates red loctite applied on installation, I have a butane torch, how long do I have to apply heat to breakdown the loctite? 2nd question 600 some miles on the crank seal , would you reuse or replace?

If you have a blue flame and bike starts right up hot or cold with elec starter I wouldn't change anything except your presentation, how much throttle are you grabbing? 1/4 throttle? Are you using the enrichners? On the left side there is a choke at the block were intake tube for carb is, diff temps...

Crank is toast, left side rod real tight on journal and no side play, Have new crank just wanted to know if there was bad history on small end bushings, or maybe rod seizing caused this, I will chalk it up to isolated incident, have new crank ready to go
