Re: LCD display stays on

When you remove the key, is the bike off or in Park? When you ride, does the digital speedometer show speed and the analog needle stay still, or do both give a null reading? Sometimes when people play with the speedometer, they start changing settings. Information about undoing the "oops pushed the ...

Re: are my piston rings one of a kind cose i cant find any place to buy them

What is the clearance between your piston and the cylinder wall? Motoboxer might be able to tell you the dimensions of their rings. If your pistons are still within spec, they may be an option. https://moto-boxer.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_59&products_id=1578 If your cylinder to piston gap is too...

Glad to know you'll get a replacement. Judging by the photo, it really looks messed up.
If you are talking about the photo I posted, that's what a new replacement part looks like. Cosmoline adds character.

Re: New 2020 Gear Up, pusher wheel out of alignment!!

Rear pusher looks normal. If you look at the axis of the tire it appears to go straight to about the middle of the seat which would indicate it's correct. With the lean out, I adjusted my fenders to be closer to "level" and my seat is shimmed to be level. From behind my bike also looks like it's won...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

Are you sure you don't want to go leaner as the engine reaches operating temperatures? A cold engine uses a choke/enrichener to supply extra fuel for starting and needs less fuel when the engine gets hot. Just a thought. Best, Jeff Hi Jeff, Providing more fuel to an overheating air cooled engine re...

Re: V.I.N. research

Have you tossed you VIN into a Google search to see what pops up?

Many dealers will list the VIN with their ads, the Google may show you any websites that previously posted the bike.

My Retro Googles and shows an old version of the Ural NE ad for my bike, with photos of when it was sparkley new.

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

After 100 miles it is dialing in better. Artsemi has been helping me understand the settings, with warnings about being stupid and either killing the bike or bricking the ECU. The ability to adjust timing and fuel is far beyond dialing in carbs. The profile can be adjusted for engine temperatures, g...

Re: 2017 GU Speedometer Failure -- Reads 40 mph @ 0

Change the digital display to speed and see if it matches the needle. My 2018 had it's speedometer replaced after about 8 months because while the digital display showed correct speed, the needle had a mind of it's own. Seems to be a problem with the Acewell units, not sure bad batch, bad generation...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

I was gonna ask you about clearance. Is that the same measurement that cateyetech used for his 825? Gotta give my machinist good numbers. Claus has suggested 0.08mm and I trust him. I think a normal 750 is .07 and I wanted to be a little looser. I'm not sure about cateyetech's specs. I sent the inf...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

:lurker: I think it's going to work out well. Artsemi is looking at the logs, gave him some specs, I think piston clearance is ok at 0.09mm though some of the hot is due to the engine adjusting to the new cylinders. The last ride last night was almost normal Ural heat and the engine started to cool...

Re: Has anyone used the M2Boxer EFI retrofit for 2014-2018 Urals?

A little more info about the fuel pump controller. The microsquirt system primes the pump for 2 seconds. It's not doing it smartly, it's just programmed to prime for 2 seconds when the system is turned on. To kickstart one needs to turn the system on, then off, then on again to get enough priming to...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

Timing Map.JPG I think I found one cause, I dunno if I messed this up or if it came this way (I think I messed something up). My understanding of the stock Ural timing curve is 4 degrees at 1050 rpm and 18 degrees at 1800 rpm with 18 degrees being the max advance. I created a terrible map reducing ...
