Re: EFI owners: service intervals

With your 2019 you can go 5,000kms without problem. 2018 the final drive gears were upgraded. Older and I might want to check that more frequently but with the modern gears you're fine. My 2001 was serviced every 2,500 kms but it needed it. My 2018 is happy at the 5,000 interval without concern. I c...

The US Ural site has some info: https://www.imz-ural.com/electric

'The company has no immediate plans to manufacture an all-electric model at this time. "

Re: Jerry can attached to my Ural

Thanks Eric, with the gas mileage my Ural gets if you go on to reserve you might not make it to a gas station on time. I've had speedometers that read miles in my current Urals, but seem to remember about 160kms on the trip meter being gas time. If you use your trip meter as a guesstimator, you'll ...

Re: Throttle cables

You might have better luck posting year, model and what type of carbs you have. I believe an MT-9 and MT-11 would use different bits. MT-11 and late Ural 650 might be similar, if that's what you have Terry Crawford would be worth a call. http://www.crawfordsales.info If it's something older like a K...

Re: 2018 Gear-Up sidecar spotlights not working

I'm rather unimpressed with their performance during night riding. As the mounting bracket isn't adjustable, there's little I can do to improve the lights' aim. I ordered my Gear Up without the lights, where I park at work the sidecar bumper often meets concrete and I didn't think they would surviv...

Re: 2018 Gear-Up sidecar spotlights not working

Lights worked! Without the key on...which is apparently the way its wired. Many people put a relay in the fuse panel, connected to a keyed power source, to keep the lights from being accidentally turned on/ left on. It's not uncommon for me to come back to my bike and various switches have been adj...

Re: eBay find - CJ750

Found another with that same WH800750 thing, I can't find the shop that's doing them but feels like some shop's putting together a package. I get the reenactor angle. My 2001 Patrol had heavy patina, one day did a Home Depot run, came back to the bike and 3 guys covered in swastika tattoos thought i...

Re: eBay find - CJ750

I am so confused by the USA livery with the tire pressures emblazoned not just in atmospheres, but with the old German abbreviation for atmospheres. I'm betting there were some other emblems on there prior and the owner either knew what they were and removed them, or had someone inform them of what...

The 5 gallon can be bought lots of places, surplus stores, Amazon, Jeep shops.

10L is what comes stock on current Gear Ups.

Re: Rear light bulb

The bike is a negative ground, true except the the tail lights where the center conducter is the negative supplied by the hand and foot brakes and the outside socket is positive. I don't know if it is true for all tail lights but it is true for the Ural. Ok, that makes sense. I swapped my lights wi...

Re: Sidecar Power Socket Issues?

Sidecar panels are the Ural bits https://live.uralcatalog.com/details/26245 I think I found them on sale one day, bought both the right and left sides, they just stick in with adhesive velcro and are partially held in by the seat. The kinda dent in the side is where the windshield rests when folded ...
