Re: strange noise running

Sounds normal. I can't tell from the video anything unusual. Your gearbox, unless the gears have been replaced, is hand cut Russian gears, they're not perfect. Do you have metal chunks in your engine, gearbox or final drive oil? Some of the noise is similar to when I have low octane gas in the engin...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

Thermo tables were off, and the high temp settings in Tuner Studio had to be adjusted to handle the higher temps. ms2ReferenceTables.ini needed to be adjusted (it's an ini in Tuner Studio) #if EXPANDED_CLT_TEMP tableLimits = 000, -40, 400, 350 #else tableLimits = 000, -40, 350, 180 #endif" needed to...

Re: Anyone used an LSK fuel gauge?

in dark.jpg in light.jpg There's an option to adjust the settings to the shape of the fuel tank, programming each bar. I was too lazy to do that, just set high and low. The fuel gauge slid easily where the clutch and parking brake cables go into the dash. The sensor is tapped into the crossover on ...

Re: Anyone used an LSK fuel gauge?

Contents of Box.jpg Main Unit.jpg I might be able to install it without having to remove the tank. The kit seems pretty complete. I've got to figure out where to put the sending unit, not a whole lotta room with the EFI airbox, but the single power/ ground and then second wire with the gauge seems ...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

Something is resetting the thermostat once it reached 180 degrees C to only show 80 degrees C. I'd noticed it before but thought it was just the gauge but this evening I watched it reprofile and enter the warm up enrichment once 180 degrees was reached thinking the engine was only at 82 degrees. The...

Re: Anyone used an LSK fuel gauge?

I hadn't realized or maybe because I was looking at your signature line where you list a 2018... that you converted a 2013 carbie to an EFI. Are you the first to do this or at least the first on SS to do it? To my knowledge I'm the first in the US to convert a carbed Ural to EFI using the M2Boxer s...

Re: Anyone used an LSK fuel gauge?

I was thinking of putting a bracket for the Retro on the inside of where the right turn signal mounts, kinda like a little shelf for the LED to sit on above the turn signal bolt. I think the display adjusts brightness based on light, if I recall I read it has a sensor for day/ night, but we'll see. ...

Re: Anyone used an LSK fuel gauge?

The conversion on the Retro will be the first bike I've had with no reserve or warning light. It's still apart, so this will go on the Gear Up since that's gonna give it the most workout anyway. I have the parts to do your timer adjustment to the warning light but haven't put them on. Figure tank wi...

Re: 2018 EFI Snorkel Question

Interesting. So, with my limited understanding of FI systems, I assume this is an alternative to a Mass Airflow Sensor in the throttle body as many cars have. This is Tuner Studio info for my M2Boxer EFI. The M2Boxer has both a MAS and Barometric sensor. ElectroJet is probably similar. I don't yet ...

Re: Hand grips?

+1 on the Biltwell Thrusters They are a softer material, thicker, nice feel. The softness tends to wear, I go through a pair a year. Last experiment are some knockoffs from Amazon that have very similar feel, a little firmer, vibe is they'll hold up better but are super close. https://www.amazon.com...

Re: 825cc M2Boxer EFI first ride

200 miles on the engine and she's starting to wear in nicely. Idle issue is mostly solved by adjusting the idle and fuel mixture. Header's still at the welder for the 18mm 02 bungs, stock Ural is 12mm and couldn't wideband that. Should have the wideband auto-tune running Saturday and we'll see how c...

Re: EFI owners: service intervals

IIRC, installation of final drive gears that were manufactured as a matched set began mid-way through the 2017 model year production schedule. Some owners of the '17s will have them, others won't. You are correct, but unless you have a quick way for a 2017 owner to know what gears they have, it's j...

Re: EFI owners: service intervals

With your 2019 you can go 5,000kms without problem. 2018 the final drive gears were upgraded. Older and I might want to check that more frequently but with the modern gears you're fine. My 2001 was serviced every 2,500 kms but it needed it. My 2018 is happy at the 5,000 interval without concern. I c...

The US Ural site has some info: https://www.imz-ural.com/electric

'The company has no immediate plans to manufacture an all-electric model at this time. "
