Re: Best Ural Tool Roll Ever?

Hadn't thought about Fire Extinguisher. I have an old Halon one I can add, pretty small, fit right in. See about hanging it in the trunk. for the Tundra First Alert fire extinguisher: small yet very effective; easy to use; can be mounted anywhere so that it is readily available; biodegradabl...

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

I noticed that the inspection plug was absent. The photo illustrates the as-discovered condition. That is to say, there wasn't any observed oil loss. Coincidentally, the timing mark is evident. https://i.postimg.cc/kGFmQcc8/Plug-1.jpg The original plug never seated securely enough to suit me, so di...

Copper Canyon 2020

Anyone out there interested in a bit of adventure?

I’m planning on doing a couple of weeks or so trip to the Copper Canyon area of Mexico sometime after mid-February. I’ll be starting from the Colorado Springs CO area and planning to cross into Mexico at El Paso TX.

rivers wrote: ↑ “Might wanna check with you local LEO's Some states it's illegal to run the flashers when moving.” I don’t think this is true. In fact, it’s usually mandatory to Have flashers on when traveling way slower than the flow of traffic, eg, when going 40 mph on the super slab when the spee...

Re: Anyone else sail?

Sailed all my life... one of my more memorable experiences was Sailing a 1940s vintage 35’ Alden yawl from Mass. to Labrador in 1968. The boat leaked like a sieve , and we used a coal fired stove to cook and keep warm. We used British Admiralty charts from the 1800’s, and a sextant for navigating. I...

Re: Any problems with 2019 Ural's

MIL light came on recently, but with no codes. Heindl’s procedure for turning the light off didn’t work. The dealer did clear them for me: one was a crank position sensor open ground; the other was an OBD open ground. Several day later, the MIL came in again, and displayed a code of “12,” which is a...

Ural OBD App. for reading/resetting ECU codes

I just found this free app. At the Apple App Store: Ural Motorcycle OBD App. for reading/resetting ECU codes. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ural-motorcycles-obd/id1457652319 No reviews on it. I assume it will read codes for Both as well as 2019-2020 model ECU’s, when the appropriate dongle is attach...
