Re: Uralcamping ...

Buy one of these and your cooking ability goes through the roof. gas stove.jpg Unless it's cold, or the cylinder you brought that you thought had enough gas runs out before dinner is done. We all carry ~5 gallons of fuel in our tanks, why carry a second fuel source that is more finnicky and needs e...

There were many armchair engineers who predicted that the cargo carrier would lead to poor handling. For the most part, I don't know it's there, except it sits a bit low...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Backed Arpok out of the garage to get the mower out for the last time in 2020. Put the mower back in when I was done and Arpok followed it in. I don't think Mrs. Cheesehead will be pulling ballast duty anymore until at least April so I'll yank the tub windshield, install the tonneau cover, plus the ...

Re: What did you do ON your Ural today?

Beautiful day in NE Illannoy, so the missus and I did a greasy cheeseburger run only to find the greasy cheeseburger place closed for the season. So, opted for more miles and a greasy burger joint closer to home. Tried to talk her into a Gene and Judes hot dog ride tomorrow for our anniversary but s...

Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

You mean Illannoy? My Dad got hired on to AMC in 1958, so we moved to Kenosha County. First job out of high school took me to Illannoy in 74 and left me there in 97. Current job is still in Illannoy but I work from home in the sticks now. For one more year. There are actually two Illanoys, Ch...

Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

Little update on my sisters’ crash recovery. She made it through surgery and has added five titanium screws to herself. Beats me by two..... Thanks for the update. Sounds like good health, bones, longevity and accident prone runs in the genes. I'm 3 of 4. Glad she's gonna be ok. We may be 4 for 4 i...

Time to put away the pricey bike.

Little update on my sisters’ crash recovery. She made it through surgery and has added five titanium screws to herself. Beats me by two. She is on crutches and doing PT now, three times a week. Although she says she is now able to get into her car and take herself to PT if necessary, our 85 year old...

Look back at our old bikes is both a pleasure and a pain. :)
I look back at my little brother’s Triumph Tiger Cub as such a PITA that I limp every time I see one. :D

Re: Pedal Power - Bikes, lets see them!

Historic pictures: Back the old days in former USSR our trainers use to be the ones riding sidecar outfits. In case of flat he would swap the tubeless tire and pump it with Ural pump. And to rich the group which was already gone far... we would pedal the bike for a short while and then trainers lef...
