Wanted - 19" rear wheel for 2015 Gear Up

I have a 2015 Gear Up and I am looking for an extra rear wheel to try out some knobby tires. I do not need the disk brake or the tire. I can swap my disk over and will put a new tire on it. If you have an extra for sale, let me know.

Thanks,
Jesse

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

I want to followup and close this thread. My local dealer, UralNE, took care of the issue. I dropped off the bike and they swapped out the broken coil under warranty.

Thanks,

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

I just spoke with the dealer. I am going to drop it off to get the coil replaced. They are going to forward the picture to Ural to get their take.

I am the original owner and the bike only has around 850km on it, so I think it is just a crack in the coil and not a repair gone bad.

Sorry about that. I fixed the post above and also attempted to post a higher resolution version here.

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

This is a picture of the right side plug cable at the coil end. Clearly not is good shape. It appears that it cracked and some type of insulation foam pushed out the crack. Luckily, Ural NE is only about 15 minutes down the road... - Jesse https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/2qMYa2KQAlBkbs9zRznUbBQj9y...

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

Darrell

That is exactly the path I started down once the plug swap did not change anything. It appears the right coil is the issue. There is a crack where the plug wire attaches and somethings has leaked out. I will post a picture once I can get one.

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

The bike has been drying out for 6 hours now. I did not use a high pressure spray and only springled the water downward. Nothing up under the tank. I pointed the leaf blower around all the important bits for a couple minutes and that did not help. I checked the plugs. The left is normal. The right s...

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

Thanks Brian. I have no interest in a showroom finish, but I am worried that the salt will cause issues quickly. If there is a good solution to the salt (no pun intended) please point me to it. I would much rather ride it and leave the dirt in place.

Thanks,

Re: w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

If a moderator reads this, can you please move to the wrenching section? That is likely a better place for the question.

I am even more confused now that I posted and realized that the forum automatically changes w-a-s-h to w-@-$-#

Still completely confused by that...

w@$#ed the bike, now one cylinder not firing

I am sure I have seen this topic in the archives, but since I can not figure out how to search for "w@$#" and for reasons that I still do not understand, nobody writes "w@$#" I am posting it here with the hope that someone cam provide some guidance. I took the bike out for a ride today and there wer...

Re: Did It

begenest,

Welcome. I bought my 2015 Gear Up in November. I am based on Westford and will also be signing up for one of the sidecar classes in the spring as well. Maybe I will see you there.

Re: MA/NH ride - First ride report

I picked up a 2015 Gear Up a couple months ago and have just over 600km on it. The temperature was in the high 40's yesterday, so my daughter and I decided to take a ride. We took the back roads from Westford, MA up to Peterborough, NH. It was a beautiful day. We have a Sena wireless radio setup in...

Re: MA/NH ride - First ride report

John Thankfully I am not afraid of Maine! Our family does a lot of day trips to Maine (in the car). We have been considering taking the bike for a road trip up to Acadia this summer. The highway ride through MA and NH just seems really boring on the bike. It is a little over an hour at car speed for...

Re: MA/NH ride - First ride report

"Ural speed" is just fine with me. I am not interested in riding on the highway. Other than a couple miles of 50mph, we were on back roads all the time. The best part was about a 20 minute section in each direction where we did not see any other cars!
