Re: Hello

It’s 2wd so is that a Partol or Gear Up? I see in your signature line, you have "Yamel" ( properly spelled "Yamal", named after a Russian nuclear-powered icebreaker ) written, which indicates you have an orange Yamal Limited Edition Gear Up . This particular Limited Edition model was only produced ...

Re: How are the flat Paint colors holding up?

Anyone else seen staining like that? Yes, but not me. You can perform a forum search to gather this information for yourself. Not sure why the editor is blocking out my word for w a x? Because the creator(s) of this forum felt it sacrilege to cleanse a Ural, therefore words related to vehicle sanit...

I thought we are supposed to just accept the unique orientation of others. :)
I'm just looking out for your neck health - as a result of my thoughtful intervention, you no longer need to bend it 90° to properly view the images.

You're welcome.

Re: What did you do to your Ural today?

How do you fix them? Computer?
Normally, I rotate 'em with my 'phone, an ol' Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but this evening, I used my work computer, a Windows machine, with Windows Photo Editor.

Took my sidecar windscreen off...
Looks good.

Hope you don't mind, but I edited your post and properly oriented your sideways images, Homeslice.

I've got this thread about rebuilding a 1999 Tourist that answers this and pretty much any other question you might have WITH photos... ;)

Re: Keeping sidecar trunk and passenger compartment Dry

Both the tub floor and trunk have drain holes installed from the factory, but if you have them plugged or covered, water may not drain as fast as it enters, especially in a driving rain. Keeping your tonneau cover installed is a good method to win the flooding battle.

Re: Mil not working; and wont start

When you next decide to replace your fuel level sensor, ask your dealer for the new mechanical float style, instead of your 2016's original optical style. The ethanol in in gasoline deforms the plastic in the optical sensor in no time, making it inoperable. The float style does not have this fault.

There might be other mounting connections
Bolt 8 is the fifth and final rear-fender-to-frame attachment point.

Re: 2005 Patrol - dead battery - rear fender method

Why don't you just remove the starter and take the battery out between the transmission and the frame? Next to vertical extraction (which you can't do on your '05), it's the easiest method.
