Re: SHOW us your hand grips, heated or otherwise

You guys are like trying to herd cats. :-)

Back on topic... I ordered the Biltwell Renegade TPV Grips from Revzilla based on the stellar reviews by TomcatFixer.

Re: Ural Motorcycles and MSF

I only have second hand experience, but a rider I know WAS required to have MSF training on a regular bike before riding his Ural. I don't know if it was REQUIRED required or the "person in charge" decided it was required etc... I only know what I was told.

SHOW us your hand grips, heated or otherwise

I see a lot of discussion threads about hand grips and I'm about to try and buy new ones, it occurs to me a thread showing many grips could be helpful for more than just myself rather than threads discussing a specific grips in depth. So, show, don't just tell (but even that is OK if you can't get a...

Re: Fused spine riders.

My spinal surgery was 24 years ago in 1998, fused and metal scaffolding L2 to 5 to the tail bone. I ride and don't think about it. You may not be able to safely ride for 3 to 6 months after the surgery (or maybe you will, spinal surgery has come a long way in 24 years) I face possible surgery again ...

Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

The additional power and responsiveness of the Gen 2 does require some adjustment in riding techniques for those used to carb, and EJ Urals. It doesn't entirely eliminate it, but the G2 Throttle Tamer helps a lot, https://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=56335 https://www.g2ergo.com...

Re: Brake disc bolts

I use a little anti seize, never had them loosen, checking them is part of routine maintenance. When I had warranty work done on the rear of my bike (not done at Heindl), it got a new rotor at one point. The person put locktite on them, soaked the entire thread area with it. I would have NEVER been ...

Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

 The Gen 2 sure is nice, good to see another Retro/M70 upgraded. Jon actually managed to do it without modifying the harness, he did turn the battery 180 degrees... and I'm ok with that, I couldn't think of any logical objection, so the battery is turned, big deal. The only wire that "needs" ...

Welcome to the fun!
Just did the Gen2 EFI upgrade on my Wife's 2017 rig, it's a cT but looks a lot like yours!
She changed the Ural logo for the black one and had the exhaust ceramic coated black.

Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

BOTH our rigs are now updated to Gen 2 EFI. I did video on the cT. Not including tear down and time spent doing video, I spent 9 hours on the EFI kit. I had other things to do so I split the sidecar off to do everything. I let Jon at Heindl do the Retro last week, then came home and tackled the cT o...

Hey you said you had a rear fender rack......still have it? If so , how much and a pic would help. I'm looking for one.
Cheers
The rear rack went separate so I removed it and lowered the price. I thought I'd edited the title too.

I still have the nose or trunk rack shown.

Re: Dealer Tool Kit for Gen 2 EFI (Moved)

I bought an early TuneBoy with cable and edit key for under $200 for my Rocket. I can upload community or OEM tunes, tweak air/fuel ratio, set idle, turn on the "full power" mode (as Triumph locked out some of the power in lower gears to make it more manageable on the street), set the main and seco...

Re: PAYPAL WARNING

I guess not really a problem but when going from Cablevision in my area to Fio's oh my God... "what can we do to change your mind", then "what can we do better", then "what did we do wrong", then "we can make you a special deal", then phone calls. It was pathetic. Anyway, done with PayPal and glad....
