Re: Browning Hi Power

By the serial number it's a 1991 mk3 gun. Still a Browning tho. Shoots nice and looks so much better than my Sigs or the Glocks or really any of the Plastic Phantics. Oops. that gun is now registered by Google. PSA- blur out serial numbers on gun pictures, Google is actively searching these out and...

Removing the gears is the easiest part of the whole process.
Nothing and I mean nothing, about this whole process has been easy.
Mr Murphy has been "helping" me the entire time.

But, I'll give it a shot.

Re: Gearbox is open for inspection, what seems to be wrong?

Welp, I think I may have found my problem......Russian welding quality....

Looks like I need a new; Ratchet gear bracket

Any idea if I can sneak that in without removing all the gears?

Gearbox is open for inspection, what seems to be wrong?

As per my first post on the problem I have finally gotten the gearbox open. When I separated the gearbox halves the shifter lever popped back into place, so it would seem something had stuck. Here are three pics of the gearbox. Note the gap in the second pic. The third pic points out the location of...

Re: Gear box issue?

Your reverse lever my not be fully up Not sure if this applies to the newer rigs but on two separate trannys I’ve installed, there is some play between the shift lever being fully up and engaging into reverse. If the shift lever is in that no man’s land, i.e., if the reverse lever slightly slips fr...

Re: Gear box issue?

I think you need a rebuilt gearbox............now where in the world could you find one?????? OK, just in case, where would I find one? Also, I friend helping me with this, he suggested removing the engine to do the work, am I going to get in over my head on this project? I am assuming it's ...

Gear box issue?

My bike likes anniversaries, so it would seem. This years problem...it's stuck in first gear, and I mean pedal down, not returning to neutral position stuck. Weird thing is, I seem to be able to shift into reverse, (don't know for sure, 'cause I'm not gonna try that with it running) BTW, it does run...

Hey tgellen
Why don't you notch out the mg mount to clear your cover tabs?

:foilhead:
It's right under the upright part on that side.

Re: Machinegun mount

I don't think you're grasping how easy the common sense fasteners are to remove and install. Or perhaps it's modifying the tonneau cover that's giving you pause? I don't understand why you must sacrifice the spotlight if you would prefer to keep it. I'm hesitant because I thought this was going to ...

Re: Machinegun mount

Yeah, it looks like the spotlight has to be moved, if I want to keep it. Question is: Do I want to move it forward to where a pintle mount would go, or to the sidecar fender?

Machinegun mount

I finally scraped together the money for it (old timers garage), but have run into a snag...the last two pics say it all. Re: Gas Can Spout - Update

There's a trick for pouring from the can without a spout. Turn the can sideways (flat), spout up. Be confident and steady.
