Re: Step by Step clutch cable replacement?
...even at max adjustment, the clutch doesn’t release completely... Not knowing your level of mechanical abilities I’ll just hit on the basics... “Max adjustment” is when, ...at the clutch hand lever, most of the threads are showing (threaded adjuster is screwed in to the bracket two or three turns...

Re: UDF is real!
When we picked up our rig from the dealer I gave Julie some basic monkey instructions... keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle, remain seated until the ride comes to a complete stop... and... seeing as how this was my first ever foray as a sidecar pilot... you’re in charge of “waving”... I’m g...

Re: Trunk hinge pin removal (2011 Gear Up)
When it’s time to replace the hinge pin ya might want to consider something besides the OEM pin... When COB was building his Predator he used something like this... it’s a square lock pin available at just about any tractor supply store... Re: Choosing routes for Urals
"Choose a direction" rather than "Choose a route"... Back in July 2008 we picked up our brand spankin' new Arctic from Ural NW (then located in Bellingham, WA) and began our voyage to our home in a (then) quiet suburb of Denver, CO. Wanting to visit friends and family on the two week drive home we h...

Re: Skipping a year?
The FRWL LE was a 2020 model, and they came out a year ago. Model year 2019 lacked an LE. The way Ural does (did?) their LE rigs is to make a limited (duh) run at the end of each model year... my Arctic is an ‘07 model, announced towards the end of October ‘07... the physical Arctic’s arrived on ou...

Reading the various threads regarding the 2021 GEO it occurred to me... it wasn’t just me who believed 2020 was wholly forgettable...

Re: 2018 GearUp dies while on the road
Dumbass newb question - if it makes a full charge at 1300 rpm, and I get stuck in traffic a lot and trail ride at low rpm... If you sit in stalled traffic long enough to drain the battery at idle you should probably shut down your engine... I worry more about overheating than electrics in those con...

Re: Rotate tires or no?
Kinda depends on what tires yer running and on what year rig...when the Arctic was new, sporting shiny new Uralshina’s, I did the three-card monte with the pusher, spare and hack... until I had cords showing... the ‘shina’s were notoriously quick wearing tires and, IIRC, I got 6-7000k out of ‘em... ...
