Re: Funny or WTF photo thread

“No Chew Deterrent”... yeah... right...

One of my dogs will steal Irish Spring right out of the soap dish...

A dog’s gonna do what a dog wants to do... (and I wouldn’t have it any other way... )

I wasn’t there, however, this article hits the high points without exaggerating their trials and tribulations ... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rideapart.com/articles/269058/ural-...

Re: Difficulty shifting into neutral/reverse

Getting to reverse from neutral isn’t quite easy on my 12+ year old rig... lots of noisy gear grinding going on... Best way I found is to shift directly from 1st gear... put yer toe under the “forward gears” shifter and lift gently whilst applying pressure on the reverse lever... both will move at t...

Re: You still drive a stick?

Most of what non-USA countries see on TV, movies, or news is stereotyped. A cameo appearance by the Road Runner in Tokyo Drift went a long way or reinforce our supposed infatuation with 8 cylinder muscle cars... Never seen the movie, don't have it on my watch list... but the "kids" (millennials) at...

Re: Sidecar Wheel Spacer

On the older rigs there’s a spacer that fits on the axle before you put on the wheel... distances the hub from the bearing... it’s somewhat difficult to get out (and I’m not sure if’n the newer, 3 disc rigs even have ‘em)... if one’s supposed to be in there it’s considered a wear item and will cause...

Re: You still drive a stick?

...I thought I was the cats azz.......until I climbed up in a cousins semi with its gazillion speed road ranger transmission. I’m another who makes their living behind the wheel... my current ride is a 70,000 lb mixer (a “cement truck” to the lay person) At one point Julie’s daughter needed ...

If I wanted a teaser, I would go back to the strip club, boy do they have some nice teasers there!
Going to a strip club is akin to locking yer keys in your car... they’re there, right in front of you... you can SEE ‘em...you WANT ‘em... you just can’t get to ‘em ...

Re: 12 volt blankets

I always say, “If ya pay attention you’ll learn something new every day.” I bought Julie’s from Sportsman Guide several years back... Sniper Bag is how they advertised it... Makes sense they would be for vehicle crews... and getting the info straight from the horses mouth adds credibility... thanks....

Re: New to Urals

Sounds like you’re going into this with your eyes open... which is a very good thing... There are several members who have done a “cross country” tour on their Urals... myself included... we purchased our Arctic in Bellingham, WA and set off for our home in a Denver suburb... two weeks and 3,500k la...

Re: 12 volt blankets

Best use for the blanket is to put it under the monkey... as previously stated, they’re not wind proof— but if you trap the heat between the seat and the monkey they work reasonably well... Heated seats would be better still... 8) I bought Julie a “German sniper bag” several years back... wind proof...
