Re: I am a NEWBIE!

Congrats on joining the Foil Crew. I made some similar mistakes and ran my GU off into a ditch. (I never admitted this b4!) No harm done except for a broken LR turn signal, replaced with a cheapo LED unit. I could not pick up the bike enough as it was on the left side on a downslope. Neighbors volun...

Re: Two Urals, same intersection, same time

Only 1 sighting of Ural in "Wild", guy dressed (goggled up) up (down, backwards?) like someone from early WWII or late WWI.
MetalCarver was just down the hill until he move to Sequim....

Other than that, groups at SOUR and Moab Get-togethers, plus the THAG crew at WY Eclipse.

Re: Plug n go headlight replacement

Easy way out, old school... 7" H4 halogen. I've run them on my BMW, and in my Dnepr for years. Remove the old one, replace with the new one; 20 minutes. Your alternator will have no problem keeping up with it. H4 replacement bulbs are readily available at auto parts stores. Edit > these are not 'se...

Re: Hack safety items?

I cut to slits in my tub, so I could anchor my seatbelts to the frame. I can testify that it worked and is worth every penny. What happens to the passenger if the seat belts hold and the sidecar comes loose? Best, Jeff I designed the roll bar with the issue you mentioned in mind, the the snowmen br...

Re: 2w Final Drive

Terry is selling one in the Grey Market. By time you get a used one of unknown use/abuse, inspect it internally and/or replace parts, a new Crawford-sorted unit saves a lot of headache and comes with a certain peace-of-mind. I have been in contact with Terry. I have also been looking at a new drive...

Those are kind of nice in my opinion. Where and how does someone contact them?

Curious.

....snip... They could also fabricate and weld mounting tabs on the mufflers for you. .... If there is a HD dealer or after market Harley shop nearby give them a call and see if they have a set of take offs they'd be willing to sell cheap. They usually have several sets laying around gathering dust...

Looking for a detailed rundown of which Sportster mufflers (year?) to purchase and adapters that work between headers and mufflers. I see some threads with out of date pictures, couple of pictures, but hoping someone can do a complete rundown. TYIA. Where are you? In my area, HD stores take off bra...

I get tired of some folks going on about being Vegetarian. I thought this summed up my view quite well.

For some reason, they did not comment.

Re: Spring in Colorado NOT in Moab

....snip.... there was another group of close-knit couples, who, I believe, were from Southern California, staying at Archview for the week. They never rode with us, and did their own adventures. - Could this be them? I think I met this "CA group" in 2019 at Archview. They sort of kept to themselve...
