Re: WTB off road rig

No problems with my powdercoat, and my 2014 GU coughs a bit, not bad, I just live with it. EFI is easier than carbs, JMO. Here is a 2014 on east coast for $10K-Asking, probably sell for less. https://www.sovietsteeds.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=56251 Whatever, patience and you can find something ...

Re: Best Ural Tool Roll Ever?

I just made my own tool roll. Screw expensive stuff. I don't need or want some "Superlative Tool Roll". No Mercedes or Ferrari toolroll, Chevy truck is OK. Something simple that works is just fine. From Yard Sale 10 years ago: Nice excellent condition (relatively) simple sewing machine. $ 20.00 Yard...

I saw a post on FB that it is from April 27th- May 1st. It is being held in Moab at Archview Resort/campground. Sounds like there are 10 Ural’s so far, otherwise I haven’t heard anything
Do you have any "Handles"/names of possible attendees for the 202 Moab Archview thing? Curious.

Re: Went to the local auto show....new cars are bland

I'm having the same problem. 2004 Toyota Tacoma with 250,000+ miles. Doesn't anybody offer a straightforward working truck anymore? I don't need fancy schmancy I just need a truck. Luckily the Toyota is in pretty good shape so I can wait. You could look at a Chev 2.8/4cyl Duramax Diesel Work Truck,...

Re: Official 2nd Generation Keihin EFI retrofit kit

Debating about which is the most powerful FI Ural is like the ladies of a brothel arguing about who is the most virtuous. yeah... like Virgin Olive Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. :sarcasm: YMMV Perhaps so, but there is a meaningful and noticeable difference, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it...

Re: Advice needed

Here is a place that has boxes and boxes of parts, tubs, bikes, etc. It is just up the street and down the block.... ...in Russia Federation. It was raining and no electric where the "bikes" were. Parts were on shelves in boxes, perhaps a wall 3meters x 20meters size? I was looking for a part, but e...

A typical garage in Russia. Photos were from visit in May 2018. Near Kislovdovsk Pyatigorsk area.

Re: Suggestion for canoe trailer to pull behind......

I seem to remember that Gobium did a video of him hauling a boat or something long on a trailer. He was on a grass field, IIRC. Naturlly, I do not remember details.

Perhaps someone else remembers?

Re: WTB 2 into 1 headers/exhaust system for late 750 carb motor

FWIW- You could buy just the front 2>1 header pipe from Raceway and then make the rest of it yourself. You have to decide which side you want the muffler to be on. ....snip..... If you have a will, there is a way somehow to get your 2>1 system. It just takes effort. YMMV Did you paint your Harley m...

Re: How many ride all year round? (Particularly in snowy climates)

I have Rocky Mountain Tusk "Hippo Hands" type handle covers . ,,,,, I only need 2wd when the snow is more than a few inches deep or when going up a steep icy hill. Practice whenever you can, maneuvers in the snow are good to know. Ditto on Hippo Hands. My driveway is 150 yards up the hill. It is ti...
